i would like to see this fight. why worry about not matching the top prospects? there can always be a rematch / trilogy if it's a good fight. the top fighters should be fighting each other.

i would like to see that fight but not just now, mabye in a coupe of years. I don't see the point of putting the best prospects facing each other too soon, rather they build they kind of fights when they are at the top. Plenty of options for brook to go for just now, he's just finished with the domestic scene, so M Hatton or Kotnelik would be great options just now. He needs 2-3 fights agaisnt tougher opposition whch wont fold straight away but will test him before he goes for the top 5-6 fighters in the division.

Jones is fighting the rematch with Soto Karass in February on the undercard of Montiel-Donaire. Brook is going to fight again in March(Jones will not be ready by then), and since Canelo is going to fight in March as well. He basically is willing to be Canelo opponent for that date. If not, Jones-Brook will probably happen in the summer.
