Roach to star in his own TV Series in AMC

Well Freddie just beat him to it... This will be great in promoting Pac next fight as it would look at in-depth on behind the scene training of the P4P# 1 fighter in his upcoming fight with Mosley.. Or maybe those pre-taped training that Roach had with Khan (vs Maidana) and Manny (vs Margarito).. Other than that, it will also look at the life of one of the best trainers of this era.

damn you critics here, this is a reality show series, not a stupid ass Comedy show starring Freddie Roach. I really don't get some of you people. I don't see how any fan of boxing can trash this concept of a show when it's the gateway to see and experience what goes in inside a boxing gym and real boxing training. If the idea of such concept bothers you, then why exactly are you a boxing fan?

It won't. Nobody gives a shit about boxing. And putting Roach on tv isn't gonna help. Everyone already knows his deal. Plus he's boring. Yeah, watching Roach isn't going to entertain. I'm not a fan of the younger Mayweather's arrogance but Roger and Sr. are funny.

Im surprised, I thought most of the people here already knew about this? Well anyways, this is really great stuff! AMC has been on a roll and I love their shows: 1. The Walking Dead 2. Breaking Bad 3. MadMen And now I get treated with a boxing series?? How sweet is that?! That's icing on the cake for me! Oh, and for the guy that says 'Breaking Bad' is the best show in AMC...I agree, but that was until 'The Walking Dead' came out. Now, breaking bad is the 2nd best show on AMC :D

Exactly. this is good news. With this new show, The Fighter (fantastic movie!!) and the new boxing TV show coming soon, hopefully this will draw much needed interest into our beloved sport. It won't. This is a great thing, One thing I've realized is that when the average fan or non boxing fan is brought behind the scenes and see's what goes on in the boxing world and learns about the characters, they become fans. It's just like any sport, if people don't know the stars, no one will care. I knew girls who use to watch the contender because they liked the sad stories about the fighters lives. There is still a market, boxing just does a terrible job of embracing it.

Yea man Spartacus was the shit!! Sucks the main character isn't coming back any more. I think it's canceled or something. You know anything about season 2? The lead got cancer, so they made a prequel.....Spartacus: God's of the Arena. There is a new top dog in the Ludus. It shows how the house of Batiatus came to prominence and the rise of Crixus......plenty of action. ---->some trailers on youtube. Andy beat his cancer though:notworthy and season two has been greenlit.....so we get a prequel first, then season two.:cool3:

Actually this is good news. Better yet, one of the best news I've read all week. I don't really like Roach that much but I will still watch it to support it. AMC has been doing great lately. From The Walking Dead to this. Nice!! Took the the words out my mouth. This will be good for boxing. AMC is a good network that'll be great in the years to come.
