Can Pavlik come back?

I don't think he had that much power at MW TBH, he just threw a ton of punches and was a pretty good finisher. Certainly didn't have anywhere close to Abraham type power. LHW is pretty thin right now, so who knows? But Kelly's two fights north of MW haven't been very impressive and he'd be wise to stay away from Hopkins while he's still this side of 50. he can still make some $. who wouldn't watch andrade v pavlik? I agree that kelly shouldn't be in the same room with hopkins. what he really needs to do is dump loew first and foremost.

If he fights straight forward fihters like Arthur Abraham or Paul Williams he migh have a chance but bute, ward, even froch, would all take him apart and stop him. His Kayo or taylor was almost certainly his peak

I think Taylor has a better chance. I don't see what's so special about Pavlik besides giving Taylor his first lost. He had one of the worst championship eras in history. Over the three years he held the titles, he beat Lockett(protected bum), Rubio(bum), and Espino(reality show bum), and lost to Bernard Hopkins' old ass. Ducked Williams countless times. I wish him all the best on his road to recovery, but don't ever see him being a force in the ring again.

pavlik can make a comeback and i hope he does. one thing is for sure, he needs a new trainer and a new advisor when it comes to his match making. he was brought up fairly tough being the underdog more than once in his career, pavlik just needs to evolve his game and develop more facets to his game. he has a good chin, solid work rate, hits like a truck, and makes exciting fights. he was just mismanaged there for a few fights and it's taken it's toll. he needs to revamp his team and move to somewhere where he can benefit from a variety of styles and a better trainer..... I don't see him having much chance at 168, but if he can keep his weight under control, he should be in the top 3 at MW, at least until the young fighters like Pirog, Golovkin, N'Jikam, Lemieux, etc get more experience under their belts. I'd still like to see him fight Paul Williams. Pavlik should definitely try to get Steward as his trainer though.

Sure he can. But at what weight. if he fight at 168 he is going to get his azz handed to him by those at the top. I might be in the minority but I could see him beating AA. i have said fo yrs. pavlik would beat aa. i still hold firm in that.

Yes of course he can. He just needs to get off the bottle first and get clean. If he had the determinition to do big things again I do not see why he can't make noise. your dr phil theory might work in la la land but in the real world he's done,he has no motivation,he's a drunk..it would take him months just to get of the grog.He's still devastated over his loos to old man hopkins..the only smart thing he could do is stop drinking and start a career as a water boy or something.

i think so.....hes still young, and so long as he can stay sober i think he will do well in the sport again.

He'd make great match ups against Froch, Williams, Abraham, Green, Kessler, and maybe Bute. I honestly don't see him standing a chance against Dirrell or Ward though.

He has to move out to another place and surround himself with other trainers and advisers that would dedicate more time with him. A boxer on the top don't last that many years and he has to take advantage now. When he retires then he can drink all he wants

Of course he can come back, he is young, he isnt even 30 yet, BUT and it is a big BUT, it all depends on how quickly he gets over his alcohol problems. If he stays in that for a long period then his career as a top fighter will be over, but if he can recover quick, ie within the next year, he can come back. I like pavlik he is very talented.

If he decides not to fight again I would love to have him as a Beer Pong partner.

him and Williams should still get it on. They're both finished imo, but stylistically it would make for a good fight. I would very much like to see this fight finally happen.
