If all Floyd Mayweather does is run, how does he have 25 KO in 41 fights?

I was a fan of floyds until he ducked margarito, cotto, now pac but was willing to fight hatton, marquez and finally fought mosley at a old age so i cant give him is props or defend him anymore. close fight with zab ok cool he's on his way. pulled of a close fight with an old oscar ok. but when he retired after cotto beat mosley i was like hell no. 90% of boxing fans, promoters, critics, etc... say he a chicken ****. i cant defend him anymore.

Im a pac fan and im happy about my hero fighting floyds left overs and fighting weight drained slow old damaged goods.

21 of those 25 KO's were at 130. He's had to box more rather than fight and be aggressive like he was in 130, in the higher weights as his power doesn't go up with him. I have no problem with that, because he's doing everything fair and square, no steroids and still undefeated even after going up 5 weight classes. You have to lose some to gain some. So he dropped his offensiveness considerably but he became smarter and adapted to fighting to win on decisions.

For that fight, Diego was severely weight drained, had the flu that week and was thinking about having to do some time after the fight with Floyd. As for Gatti, he was not a prime fighter anymore. Even Gatti struggled to make 140 but he did it just to fight Floyd. After the Floyd fight, Gatti moved up to 147 BUT that was too high to compete adequately and therefore had to retire. I don't want to put words into someone's mouth BUT that is what I believe the other poster wanted to say when he said that the real Gatti and Diego were not all there that night.

So it was Cortez's fault that Ricky... dropped his hands to his waist... and walked in a straight line towards Floyd, and got smashed with a left hook? I've never understood why Mayweather was ever accused of being a runner in the first place.It's not like the guy even uses consistent lateral movement.Even against Carlos Baldomir he wasn't really running. when someone has a good footwork, he is automatically a runner.... floyd synchronizes his footwork with good head movement, thats the only thing he does, and there arent many fighters who do that like floyd can. he is anything but a runner, the boxing ring is his home, he grew up in there, its not easy to make him run. he wasnt even running away from castillo, a great pressure fighter who can hunt you for 24 rounds if needed. what khan did vs maidana was running, and it showed his footwork was clearly overrated. he has to work on that, maybe he should train with floyd instead of pacquiao :D khan was lucky he wasnt fighting castillo that night, he would have been exhausted after the first 2 rounds. it looked like he was trying to break usain bolts 100meter world record.

Explain.......:boxing: PBF was much more active in his younger days then he is now. PBF is a great defensive fighter and that's his pedigree. It's also the reason why he is prolly not going to end up like his uncle and father with the slurred speech. I am a Pac fan but I take nothing away from PBF, he is a GREAT DEFENSIVE TECHNICAL fighter who is undefeated. I am just pissed that the Pac-PBF fight will prolly never happen.
