At this point in there careers Wlad is the better fighter
Wlad is more technically sound boxer.
Wlad has quicker handspeed
Wlad is more mobile, better footwork
Despite the chin advantage, I think Haye would have easier time getting between Vitali's guard. Looking back at the Arreola fight I kept thinking If Arreola was faster and smaller he could have landed some blows in that fight. If he kept his pressure without gassing and was little more efficient. Anyone agree or feel this is totally off?
If I were a quick, explosive power puncher and you were to give me the choice of an opponent who's also quick, technically excellent and very hard to hit but isn't the toughest guy around versus a guy who's slow, old, gives you openings but can take a mean punch I know who I'd pick. Whatever Haye's faults he can bang, and I've never once entertained the notion that Vitali can't be hurt by anything Haye throws at him. Wlad, on the other hand, won't be hit by anything Haye throws at him. That's the difference in my mind.
Good post exactly what I was thinking.
i don't know personally i tend to POSSIBLY agree that vitali will be easier for haye because vitali is just getting too slow and old and i have a feeling haye can counter him and make for at least a very close match if not a tight SD win. whereas wlad is in his prime, punches much harder at this point (vitali couldn't even put away his last few opponents) and will really make haye question if he even wants to be in the ring with him when he lands a solid cross on that glass chin of his
I think you are right on the money, but when looking at these two fighters, its tough to say who is the easier. Vitali is older, maybe slower, and less defensive, but he's also tougher. Its hard to say.

Wlad won't be able to land his jab against Haye due to his speed and movement. We all know Wlad can be knocked down. Is it 11 times or something he has hit the canvas?
I think that fight would be better than Vitali for Haye tbh. Haye will find it hard to stop Vitali and I can see that going to a close decision.
Whoever Haye faces, it should be a great fight.
Here's another thing that gets overplayed: Haye's athleticism. Apparently, because he's quick, explosive and fights with his lead hand down at this waist like Roy he's suddenly impossible to hit. Look, when John Ruiz and Sugar Nikolai Valuev start touching you up with their jab, that doesn't speak volumes for your defensive prowess does it? Haye is hittable, very hittable. This isn't speculation, it's borne out by video evidence. Add to that the fact that Haye frequently lunges in with wild haymakers, gasses out by the mid rounds, oh and that he's fighting an opponent with a top 5 ATG heavyweight jab and you might just start to get the impression that perhaps Haye might have one or two wee problems on his plate.
Wladimir was always better than Vitali. If you compare their respective resumes, and you look at their accomplishments,Wlad is clearly the more accomplished of the two.
Nobody has a chance against the current version of Wlad. What you see of Wlad right now is one of the greatest heavyweights who ever lived.
Doesn't matter,though,because Haye doesn't have a chance against either.
Wlad is a more fluid boxer yes,& U all named his attributes, but seem to forget that Viatli has the chin,in a heavyweight fight against a good puncher,U ain't nothing if Ur chin isn't there!!Vitali>Wlad!!
It seems a lot of people still maintain the idea of Wlad being this willowy bean pole who folds under the slighest pressure if you can "just get past his jab". Really, haven't any of his last fights convinced you otherwise yet? I'm not saying he's suddenly morphed into his brother, but it seems clear to me that the Wlad of today is a mentally tougher, as well as possibly a physically tougher, fighter than the one of six years ago. Since his last loss Thompson probably came the closest to really pressuring Wlad in any meaningful sense, and he still won the majority of the rounds and knocked his man out. Both Brewster in the rematch and Peter in the rematch caught Wlad with some solid shots without visible effect and both guys previously had him on the deck. Chambers and Brock, who aren't massive punchers but not powder puff either, also caught him more than a few times, again without any effect (save the cut in the Brock fight). Point I'm making isn't that Wlad is now KO proof but that his fragility really gets overplayed, expecially when comparing him to his brother. That he's so much quicker, sharper and more defensively sound than Vitali should swing your opinion more than the toughness issue. As Mosley-Margarito showed, no one is KO proof.
I agree, Wlad appears to be a lot better than the Wlad that got KO'd two times in a row. He's had to have improved under Stewart, but I still say a lot of you guys over rate him.
Wlad has about 60 HW fights, Haye 3, Haye at HW is a KO waiting to happen.
And Haye isn't sweet pea, Wlad will land that jab.Mofo Dave get hit in every fights, and he fought 3 bums in a row.
What will say brit fans when Haye doesn't even win a round and get koed??
It will be a good fight I'm sure.
Wlad can knock Haye out, Haye can knock Wlad out. That is boxing.
If it does go to a decision, It won't be a 120-108 fight. It will be close..

i doubt vitalis heart,he messed up his shoulder and quit when he had like 2 round left and was way ahead but just gave up!. also when he got cut vs lewis he didnt go all out for the knockout, tht was a bad cut and did he really think he would be ok to carry on to 12 rounds with it?.
thats the klitschkos problems, they dont go for broke,or put people out of thier miseries.
they have guys unable to land on them from the 1st rounds in fights, and are hurt them bad straight away, and they dont push a bit harder and go for a stoppage.
Where do you stand on Wlad's heart?

well tunney the biggest klit fan did say haye will fight vitali first which he will be poved wrong as he will be an easier fight
I agree wlad is the tougher fight on paper but in reality it will be easier for haye because wlad has no chin and no heart, the first shot haye lands wlad will do the chicken dance imo
You can say a guy who once in his life get dropped three times in a fight and won by UD has no heart.
Could you do that yourself??
Wlad is a better fighter, NOW, he proved it in the Brewster and Peter rematches.
He's more confident, and more prepared.
Talking about Wlad's chin, his chin never get cracked by a SMW...
Haye is chinny as hell.
He get dropped by Mormeck who cant punch.
Honnestly, Haye isn't fighting Audley,Macarinnelli or Ruiz, I hope he brings his A+ game or it won't be competitive.
I think one Wlad's jab might be enough to knock him out.
True that is sometimes the most important factor in a fight your toughness and will can overcome everything else but at Vitali's age I think that has decreased over the years.
Let's compare their last fights against Arreola and Chambers I think those can give us the best comparison to go by how a fight with Haye might look since.
Have no idea what you cats are talking about here
Vitali is clearly the tougher match-up for Haye by a small margin. He won't be as cautious as Wlad and will apply constant pressure for 12 rounds.
Both very hard fights but i think Vitali is easier. He is much older, has shown his age and Haye's speed.
Wlad is very hard to hit clean, has monster power and is pretty quick as well.
Haye will be running from both fighters like he did against Valeuv
Wlad won't be able to land his jab against Haye due to his speed and movement. We all know Wlad can be knocked down. Is it 11 times or something he has hit the canvas?
