panda stayed up to watch it live yesterday...my scores:
1. 10-8 Pascal
2. 10-9 Pascal
3. 10-8 Pascal
4. 10-9 Pascal
5. 10-9 BHop
6. 10-9 BHop
7. 10-9 BHop
8. 10-9 BHop
9. 10-9 BHop
10. 10-9 BHop
11. 10-9 BHop
12. 10-9 Pascal
Totals BHop 7: 5 rounds but with the KDs 113-113
as u can see panda gave the last round to pascal because after doing jack sh1t for half the fight he suddenly felt the urge to retain his belt...congrats to bhop for a wonderful and suprising performance. Bhop had better punch stats but be real pascal landed the harder punches...cant score this any other way than a draw
Just watched it. I'm ok with the draw, to be honest. Hopkins won more rounds, but the 2 knockdowns made it hard to come back. I give Pascal 1, 2, 3, 5 plus the two knockdowns. One more round in there and he gets the draw, and there are a couple that are close, like 12, where you could score it either way.
I think, overall, Hopkins showed himself to be the better fighter, but in boxing knockdowns count and they're hard to make up for on the scorecards. Unless you score the knockdown rounds 10-9 for Pascal, but I really don't think you can do that. The rounds were fairly close except for the knockdowns, so I think you have to go with the standard 10-8.
me i gave the first 5 to pascal and the 12th to pascal, with the 10-8 rounds putting hopkins in a "needs a ko to win" type score difference but he did win all the arounds of 6-7-8-9-10 -11 maybe cuz I remember one of those rounds he didn't do much but stick is chin out and I could of given that to Pascal to,being 45 and taking steps forward doesnt win rounds.
panda, what are your scores on this one? lunch is in a couple of hours help me decide on an entrée

ur coupon expired 2 years ago though :lol1:
I'm with you P, I had it a draw..... I watched from a decent stream at a Christmas party with no sound.....
I think Pascal CLEARLY won a majority of the early rounds and that Hopkins came on late.....
The 2 kd's is what saved Pascal...
In terms of giving out an ass whoopin, Hopkins clearly wod have won..... But when it comes to rounds it's a draw....
What people have a hard time realizing is this, if Fighter "a" beats the **** out of Fighter "b" and wins a round in a landslide but the next round Fighter "b" barely wins the round, both rounds count the same..... 10-9 each round...
cheers my dude...fully agree with ur assessment as always :fing02:...
honestly the first knockdown was a punch behind the ear but if the ref ruled it a knockdown its a KD on the scorecards...
In all fairness,Panda really doesn't know anything about the sport of boxing. So when I see Panda's scorecard,I take it with a grain of salt, because Panda doesn't really know what's he's watching or what he's talking about.
Panda's whole existence on this forum is based around constantly referring to himself in third person. What he has to say in regards to the actual sport is of little to no importance.
is that so? :lol1:
check my thread history...u'll find most of this board disagreeing with u
better yet check my assessment on the khan - maidana fight prior to that fight...
go back to the dome before someone turns u red again
what post fight interview were u watching?
the only rounds he alluded to specifically, were the rounds in which he got KD...
round 1, hopkins said he thought he went on to win that round, despite the KD....never heard the man admit any defeat, at any point.
the showtime one conducted by jim gray...
that was a question hence the questionmark...whats with the animosity anyway panda never said bhop admitted defeat...panda thought he said they mightve given pascal the last round but if thats not the case panda stands corrected :ugh:

did u just dub urself a boxingscene authority? panda thinks my scorecard is worth sharing seeing as the majority of this board had bhop winning on punchstat numbers rather than rounds...
ure by no way obligated to post in this thread but thanks for stopping by
It's a fair scorecard. I would like to see how the Judges scored the 12th.
the same can be said for round 5...neither guy did much... pascal's punches had a lot of mustard behind them but bhops short hooks landed more flush
didnt bhop himself admit he mightve lost the last round in his post fight interview? recall him saying something like that

And who the fukk are you?
Do you think your scorecard's really so important it needs its own thread?

Hopkins won 11 out of the 12 rounds.
Pascal landed on average less than 9 punches around. Hopkins was the agressor and was robbed plain and simply. Pascal was running for most of the fight and he didnt clearly win a single round. There were no rounds that could go either way.
Round 1 was Hopkins round. The KD was a shot behind the head so not legit.
Round 3 was a 10-9 round because despite the KD Hopkins was winning the round.
Scores should have been 118-109. If you count the bogus KD in the 1st round then its still 117-110 for Hopkins.
:nonono:..........
i looked at the close rounds and his score to compare with mine, and yea, ur right, he is missing rd 5
Just ****ing with you. He did say Hopkins won 7 rounds, so I'm assuming he gave round 5 to Hopkins.
You didn't even look at his scorecard. He's missing round 5. :nana:
round 5 was 10-9 BHop...panda will correct it now
also that shouldve been clear with me saying bhop won 7:5 rounds
