He's already in my top 3 but what do the haters think?
If he beats Hopkins, is he top 5 P4P?
It is a lose-lose situation for Pascal. If he beats Hopkins, then Bernard's age has really caught up to him and this is expected to happen....if he loses, then he will be known as the guy who got a loss against a (nearly) 46 year old man!
If Pascal wins he has a legitimate shot at getting FOTY. Dawson and Hopkins in the same year. Thats some serious **** if you ask me.
Excellent point, I agree.
Maybe at 5.
This fight is starting to gain my interest more than any other fight out there... So much hype, and yet, Will Hopkins have one left in the tank? Or will the young lion Pascal take him down? Pascal is a great athlete.. and his punches have authority. As my sifu told me at one point.. "Style isn't really important, as long as you are proficient in what you are doing, and as long as you practice Gung Fu" I.E. hard work. And personally, I feel Pascal has put more work into the training before the fight than Hopkins has... Pascal will be a force in there, its quite possible he will dismantle Bhop.
according to most posters on this website boxingscene, NO, because as the majority on this forum say hopkins is a hack with a fluffed up record who hasn't done anything his whole career and has fought smaller nobodies. although the real boxing world and aficionado's say otherwise, it's group think up in here, most people don't even have a mind of their own, so according to boxingscene posters, no pascal does not become p4p by beating hopkins.
i say other wise, i think that pascal should be considered for it if he were to beat hopkins but fringe at best, because he's going to have to get a few more names under his belt, but as of now, it would make him fringe, IMHO.......
whether you like it or not, HOPKINS IS A P4P GREAT AND FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER!!!!!!!!! SUCK ON THAT HATERS.
If the Ring has Hopkins that low p4p considering he was top 5 p4p a year ago, they've been far too patient/tolerant by comparison for Mayweather. Doesn't seem entirely consistent to me.
TBH I think the winner should be top 10 no doubt. Top 5 no so sure.
Just last year Williams had two straight fights in which he looked terrib;e and got ranked #3 solely off getting a gift and having his guy jump out of the ring, why wouldnt Hop be ranked if he beats this man one sidedly?
The ring currently has hopkins at #26 or somewhere around there...
Also, don't forget to add Chad Dawson, who was a top 10 P4P fighter before he received a beating from Pascal.
