Boxing isn't "DEAD" as most will say,it's just where interest is being put, most of the fans like the 90% of the retards on here KILL that interest by degrading it to the point where no one wants to be around anymore to hear the constant crying.
Berto had GREAT hype,Then the fans killed that by bashing him.
Replaced with Mosley who is so one dimensional he couldn't handle Mora.
Tavoris Cloud had momentum only to be BASHED after beating Johnson.
Now I feel that if Pascal wins on saturday (which if he is GOOD at all he should) the same fate will be tossed at him and whatever fans that watch him beat hopkins will turn away and say "Wow,these dudes ***** way to much **** that" and then switch over to the replay of WEC's superman off the cage spinning kick that Anthony Pettis landed on Ben Henderson to win the WEC title as the organization closed to join with UFC
boxing is dying because some boxers want to take vacations while others are too greedy, and some others are begging for fights against guys they have no business being in the ring with.
By name they are not bums, but even past greats have an end to their prime and get washed up, and every person you listed above was far past it and in most cases SHOT, as is the case with Hatton, Margarito and Cotto. Marquez is the only live opponent listed above and he beat Manny.
Barrera was a good win.
Marquez didn't beat Manny. Manny won with a split decision.
I agree. Fans must think great boxers and resumes just pop up. I don't get it. Every legendary fighter fought bums and had weak resumes leading up to thier first big fight. Then they won that big fight and the rest is history.
With berto, yeah he fought hernandez but he dispatched of him in the best way possible. What more could he have done?
thank you for seeing my point

Make a good point then cuz you cant compare Green and Mitchell to Margarito and Cotto
Your comments show a major lack of knowledge and your point was so weak that it would take a lot of time to make a case to you. It would be a lot of typing and a lot of back and forth. It would be easier if you went back and watched some fights and studied the history on your own before you make threads.
What??Mosley was dead tired after round 2 against Floyd & Mosley is known for great stamina,he is absolutely not the same fighter!!
Im not sure about that being known for great stamina...He was not really gassed just was being beaten up =\ sorta like in the winky wright fight but worse.
I see your point but mosley is the same fighter he was 2 years ago that he is now,Just put different men in-front of him and different outcomes will occur

Why'd U quote me??Cotto was borderline,(catchweight)!!Margarito at 150 for a title was pure garbage!!Floyd's performance against Mosley easily is the best win between the 2 above 140,true story!!
Boxing isn't dying, and never will as long as combat sports are allowed. When Pac and Mayweather are gone, and everyone is wondering who will pick up the slack, someone will, just like Tyson did after Ali, Oscar did after Tyson, and Pac and Mayweather did after Oscar.
It's not more Floyd,it's them both,at least Floyd has gone away,Pacman is fighting people like cheating Margarito at catchweights for vacant titles which he won't defend!!Then turning right around & going for Mosley who he didn't fight 2 years prior, because Roach has seen his last 2 fights!!Neither 1 of those fights belonged or belong on ppv!!
I see your point but mosley is the same fighter he was 2 years ago that he is now,Just put different men in-front of him and different outcomes will occur
Boxing is dying firmly in the hands of Pacman & Floyd!!
You're clueless.

How can you say that Manny has only fought bums???
De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto, Juan Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera?
Bums? Have some respect :/

Berto killed the hype himself by choosing to fight bum after bum. Same as Pacquiao. When you continue to fight bums people lose respect for you, it's as simple as that.
Sorry I can't get hyped up over a bout with Freddy Hernandez.

If so then after that fight what is there? Nothing..
That fight is only big cuz pac has a chance to win if he loses then **** hits the fan,its more floyd though cuz he has no legacy and is not fighting back cuz this is the only way to keep him somewhat relevant and thats what he wants cuz he is an attention whore.

berto has not cracked 30 fights yet,**** at cotto's 28th fight i think is when he fought Malignaggi who was a nobody?...Gamboa been fighting bums ect ect.
Manny has not been fighting bums,he just been making them look that way and if that is the case then roy and tyson both fought **** loads of bums before they even lost.
You're clueless.

Its not dying its being held hostage by boxers who make way too much money.
Thank god for guys like Sergio Martinez who take less even when defending their own titles.
Then the sad thing is that the pfp king, who holds the title he gave up at 154 won't fight him & fight fans don't demand that he do!!
