This is in response to some posts I have seen recently regarding Amir Khan and how he "shouldn't be rushed along". About how "he needs a couple of years " to face top opposition.
Help me understand here:
Amir Khan is a 5 year, 25 fight pro. And his supporters are saying that he shouldn't be rushed along.
Andre Berto is a 6 year, 27 fight pro. And NSB genpop keeps saying how he is coddled and protected and asking why he hasn't fought top opposition.
Um, OK.
I understand that fighters develop at varying paces. And Amir's body is still filling out.
...But let's take the bubble wrap off of Khan, OK?
If Berto was considering a Judah fight, you would clown him for that.
Who is a more dangerous opponent: Urango...or Malignaggi?
Quintana will beat the living snot out of Kotelnik.
In fact, Quintana and Collazo are BOTH better than anyone that Khan has ever fought.
what da fukkk!!!
u compare two guy in the different division with different opponent too
:pat:
Wa-What?! I like Paulie but the guy is one-handed/ feather fisted. And Urango is a robotic statue. Pick your poison.
I've seen Urango live, he's not an explosive puncher, he can punch, but, I don't know, man. I just picture myself in there and if I had to pick a fight with one of 'em. I'd go for Urango, against mobile fighters, it takes awhile to figure 'em out sometimes. With Urango you know he's just gonna stand there.
Outside of being durable and has a decent punch, I think Paulie actually brings more to the table. If it were me in the ring, I'd prefer to fight Urango over Paulie. Sh*t, I'd bring my lawnchair and get down, 'cause I know Urango is just gonna stand there like a statue and be mechanical as hell.
Paulie has a good jab, moves well, it would be irritating to fight him, hehe

Oh, and to respond to your thread topic. Like you said, fighters in general mature at different rates.
After fighting Maidana, he's allowed a Zab Judah. But not 2:nono:
Maidana really ain't all that, though I'm expecting people to overrate him because Amir Khan chose to fight stupid :nonono:
typical..now he thinks Maidanas some bum now lol, just like another poster mentioned..Maidana is a better fighter than anyone that overrated fool has fought..
Cool.
Quintana's best win is paul williams.
Who is maidana's best win?
It is truly AMAZING That Khan beat the guy he was a 4:1 favourite over.

I think khan already took the "bubble wrap off" when he faced maidana..
AK: Maidana, Kotelnik, Malignaggi
Berto: Collazo (arguably lost),?
and that's in one year less, as you kindly pointed out

Listen ros, Khanjust fought a man with the highest KO ratio probably in boxing. The only guy who I think hit maybe harder was Randall Bailey. Andre Berto has yet to prove himself against someone as dangerous as maidana was for khan. Until he does, Khan will/should get more credit then Berto. I like berto, but I think he shouldve went after Mosely as soon as he was ready to fight again.

Never ever put Amir and Berto in the same sentence again.
Yes. Because Berto never ran away for four rounds. You are right.
...but I can understand why Khan does.
PK i wouldnt even bothering entertaining the idiot, stick to discussing things with good posters your knowledge is wasted on people like this mate
Yet, here you are...posting in my thread
:lol1:
Career in years may be the same, and Khan is filling out for sure, but at least he does want big fights.
.
And Berto doesn't want big fights? He doesn't want to face top opposition?
Who is begging for a Pacquiao fight?
