Maidana would've knocked Khan out if he gave himself a little more punching room I think but those short mauling type punches like the uppercuts on the inside and body work was effective when it came to breaking Khan's will.

His chin isn't Glass. But its not iron. Its average at best but its still his weakest asset.

I don't think he has a world class chin. His lack of chin will keep less skilled fighters in the fight with him. Looping, heavy arm punches in rd 10 when Maidana was tired had him on queer street. Uppercuts without any waist movement or leverage had him stuck in his tracks. Accurate punchers regardless if they don't hit as hard as Marcos, will be his downfall.

His chin isnt as great as people in this thread are making it out to be. Maidana can punch but he's not Tyson like everyone wants to make it seem. The fact is that Khan's chin is clearly below average but worst of all, his defense also is and thats a bad mix. He shouldnt have been hit with most of the shots that hurt him anyways. Gets hit way too clean and his chin isnt good enough to overcome that against the elite guys

Khan was able to brace the punches of Maidana for the most part because Maidana isnt fast and throws wide looping punches. Boxers with faster hands can hurt Khan cause the punches that you don't see are the ones that can really hurt you especially if you're not known for having a great chin. That's a very stupid way to avoid the question. Khan got hit with everything Maidana had for a good 2 minutes in round 10 and right hands and uppercuts in other rounds and he didn't go down once. Khan showed he has a solid chin against a game, game fighter. Sure Khan was hurt but don't forget the body shot which decked Maidana and had him wincking like a child :)

Lol i know people were expecting Khan to melt the first time Maidana tagged him. His chin is better than we all thought but I still would be hesitant to call it "good" considering how shaky he is when he gets caught. I think its funny reading some posters who act like every time you move up in weight your chin just gets better all of a sudden. At 147 strong punchers like berto would put him to sleep no problem.

No. He was getting banged around by a severely weakened fighter. If you think that was Maidana's best, you are insane. MM was seriously hurt by Con's early bodywork. And was weakened for the balance of the fight. A fresher Chino murks the hypejob. But all credit to the Brit hype for doing to Chino what he did early.

His heart and survival instincts make up for his lack of a good chin. If it was glass, he would have been KO'd with that big shot.

Lets just say he passed the test Fighters can see Maidanas punches coming from a mile away but what if Khan gets caught by sneaky punchers like Bradley where he wont see alot of the punches coming
