I mean, Mares is a superstar, hes lucky, he got a draw, he coulda lost the fight, or his efforts in the ring coulda gone unnoticed lol

From what I remember, most had it in favour of Mares though it was close by 1 or 2 rounds. And the Showtime broadcasting crew were all ok with the draw, even though they leaned more towards Mares (at least Bernstein and Tarver had it 115-113). Their press row scoring also all three scored for Mares. He was definitely not lucky at all to get a draw, the rounds he won, he won BIG, punch stats were all clearly in his favour. Also look at the reactions after the announcement. Mares was very disappointed and Perez celebrated the draw. Perez is lucky as hell to get a draw, Tarver knows his boxing, he gave Juanma every round but the 4th to Marquez, showtyme however....

I had it for Mares, either 7-5 rounds or 8-4. From what I remember, everything from 8-4 to 6-6 looked plausible, so the draw was ok although very unfortunate for Mares.

Mares won imo, infact I did'nt think it was in doubt when the final bell went, although it was fairly competitive, clear but competitive decision to Mares imo. I wanted Perez to win to, will want him to win a rematch to.
