Go back to Middleweight?
As a big Arthur Abraham fan, I think he should.
He's been whooped in back to back fights. I don't like this. His only good wins in 168 have been against shot Taylor and shot Miranda.
Abraham obviously needs to go back to 160 or else he'll just become a name opponent in 168 instead of a dangerous, favored to win, opponent like he was at 160.
Huck looked very well against guys like Afolabi and Ramirez, than his last 3 fights were dirty and the old slugger in Marco Huck woke up.:nonono:
I just watched Huck v Cunningham again recently and Huck gets much dirtier when things aren't going his way. In his recent fights he hasn't had to resort to them so much because his opponents were so overmatched.
That being said I thought Cunningham showed tremendous mental strength and discipline to keep from being thrown off his game.
The ref wasn't gonna get involved and instead of complaining Cunningham really buckled down and focused on overcoming the extra handicap.
I just wonder if Lebedev has that same maturity as a fighter because he is probably gonna need it. If he gets frustrated by Huck's tactics and starts complaining or looking for help then it's gonna be a long night for him.
I think it's a great matchup. So much so that I could hardly believe Sauerland signed off on it.
Huck is a very dirty fighter, but I respect him for being so active. Lebedev I have only seen twice but he does have the potential to win by KO.
Huck gets away with so much in Germany I honestly think Lebedev is in for a serious uphill battle against not only Huck, but the the referee and judges as well.
I don't really care who wins but I would prefer Lebedev if for no other reason than the way that Uli Wegner looks after one of his fighters gets their butt whooped.

what do you think of the coming match up with Huck-Lebedev?
if Huck gets KTFO than Sauerland will be in deep waters.

He can't make the weight. AA isn't that small at 168. He's about 5'10, has a decent reach. Johnson can't be much bigger. Lacy wasn't that much bigger.
AA is so basic, but he can still give guys hell who stay in range and trade punches with him. He just can't beat a guy who does what Dirrell and Froch did to save his life. Ward would have did much of the same.
AA vs. Johnson would have been a slug fest.
I think he is, easily, P4P, one of the hardest punchers in the game.
With that alone, he should TRY to reinvent himself. He has the tools. He needs tactics.
His only tactic that ever worked, and the only one he should go back to, is fighting bums in Germany.
Arthur Abraham has cankles and he is slower than molasses in winter.
If you actually believe that he can "reinvent" himself or that he can make a drastic improvement by hiring a new trainer well then I have an awesome piece of property in Greenland that I would love to sell to you.

How about when Abraham pulls out you just send me a million points with a message that says "you were right, Abraham and Sauerland are sore losers".

whatever,
if Abe pulls out and fight Bute, Ill bet 1 Mil on Abraham once again with you.
Bute has not the ability to keep him away for twelve round and not the chin.
Andrade showed us how to beat Bute. Abraham by late KO.

You're hilarious.
Yeah Andrade showed us how you beat Bute, you throw punches and apply non stop pressure from the opening bell.
If you think Arthur Abraham can do that then you must not have watched his last 30 fights.
The only reason Abraham is better than Bute is cause he actually had the balls to take on tough opposition.
However if they fought Bute would beat Abraham senseless.
Don't get your hopes up about Abraham-Ward I can virtually guarantee you that the sore ass losers Abraham and Sauerland will back out of the Super 6 before they come back to the USA for another brutal ass kicking.

The Dirrel loss certainly wasn't that bad though.. i agree, i think it's fair to say that Dirrel was looking for a way out. AA had knocked him down and clearly was pressing hard in the last 2 rounds
I give him little chance vs Ward though.. you never know though AA clearly does have very good power
I picked Abraham to win that fight, and I had points on him as well. And damn he got his ass kicked, no ifs and or buts.
Dirrell surprised me that night, I thought Abraham would knock him out. He did knock him out, but in a dirty way. Abraham absolutely got outclassed by Dirrell.
Dirrell was not looking for a way out, he genuinely slipped on what seemed to be wet part of the ring.
me as a big AA fan hope he KO Ward, highly doubtful after his last perfromances.
but still
Abraham>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bute

Late into his run at 160 AA looked weak due to having to make 160, so his performances got worse and worse, so I'd say no. AA needs to start moving his upperbody, or bend at the waist like Floyd. Just start dictating the pace, waiting isn't gonna cut it, especially at this level.
I made a thread yesterday saying should he go to 160, I'm a big AA fan and I didn't like what I saw in his last two fights. I don't know what else he could do.. not looking good.
