When I was watching the Trout fight with an old friend he would not let this go.
Some people just don't understand the difference between the color of someone's skin and their ethnic background.
This is how uneducated some people are, I was at work arguing with people about the term african american right. These stupid *****es were trying to argue that David Ortiz is African American. All of them were!
Indians and Pakistanis are all exclusively African Black because their skin, not so much phenotype, is exactly in the guidelines of black.
Just like Golovkin is Mongoloid Asian traits. HBO has him dying his hair color lighter.. lol
Louis C. K. Is Mexican.
The only way he could look more Irish is if he was drinking a pint of Guinness!
The ginger hair and freckles are a dead give away!
He is obviously of Celtic descent.
He's a white hispanic.
THat is an accurate statement. Saul would be a white hispanic.
He can define himself further if he likes as a "Mestizo, Mulatto" but in essence that is the root white hispanic.
It's not so clear and cut because people these days are mixed to the point where we are not ALL white or Native or Black.
There seems to be so much confusion about the who's white, hispanic, latino, race, ethnicity, etc...
Race in itself is a debatable categorization for people in central/south/carribean americas, scienifically there are groups of people that are genetically alike, socially it is similiar to the term hispanic.
Being hispanic is nothing more but a "socio-cultural" term that refers to a certain group of people that share the same language, religion, cultural cues. Hispana isn't a race. By definition Saul Alverez is hispanic because he shares the same culture of other mexicans and other central/carribean/south american groups and spain. Is Alverez Hispanic? Yes
ALverez light skin is a result of or can probably all or some be attributed from european ancestry. Does that make him white? Yes. Is he of the white race? Scientifcally? Yes, Socially? No.
Latino - Like hispanic, the term latino refers to the group defined by a particular language. In theory, people from spain, italy, france, portugal are also "latino" because language derives from latin, therefore the people that speak the aforemention languages are latino.
In reality, people synonomously use latino to define "hispanic" people. Not entirely accurate but it is what it is.
Martinez and Alverez are hispanic, have some or all european ancestry making them of the "white". Personally, in my eyes, I see things from a social perspective and that is, they were born in a region (Argentina and Mexico).
hes from guadalajara, mex. alot of french and europeans settled there thats why mexicans from that area are white, well most of em, and thats where i pull most girls from;)
you consider tito black but casamayor mixed?.....lol
Gamboa, Joan Guzman, Omar Henry, Trinidad, Perez (who beat Aber Mares) - mixed
Cotto, Juan Lopez, Juan Urango, Carlos Negron, Abner Mares Jose Jr, Frankie Gomez - mixed
their all mixed? Just have different skin colors....ALL LATIN baby lol
Of course he is, the guy is more Irish looking than 90% of people living in Ireland - Cinnamon just happened to be born in Mexico.
But of course according to some ignorant posters on here (markfrombrooklyn), "white people can't speak spanish..." LOL
There are White Hispanic people (Martinez, Alvarez, BJ Flores) Black Hispanic people (Miranda, Trinidad, JC Gomez) Indian Hispanic people (Arreola, Morales) and mixed Hispanic people (Cotto, JuanMa Lopez, Casamayor).
Hispanic refers to language and culture, not to a race.
you consider tito black but casamayor mixed?.....lol
Could be. He looks like an Indian though, as does his trainer.
Arreola looks like an indian? WTF? :ugh:
