most overrated "legendary" boxer in the last 20 years

Hahaha Floyd Mayweather should not be leading this poll. Maybe some of his fans piss u off but he's not overrated, he's an amazing fighter no matter how much you hate him. I picked Calzaghe. Good fighter but for those who think he's greater than he actually is because he beat Roy Jones and Hopkins, yes, he's overrated. Both fighters were way passed their prime.

First and foremost, I think there were too many names to only pick one but I picked calzaghe based on his nothingness that he’s contributed to boxing.

Currently it would be Manny Pacquiao not because he isn't awesome because people believe him to be a perfect fighting machine and only see the positives while just glossing over flaws. A couple fighters on that list had the same treatment at various points though, like Tyson and Jones.

Lewis is funny because he's both overrated and underrated. He's considered one of the best HW champions ever until you bring up how Vitali beat him on the cards before the cut stoppage and how many shared opponents the Klitschkos have put down. Since a lot of brothas & british would rather take a cactus up the butt than give the Klitschkos any credit, Lewis will drop from an ATG heavyweight to an untalented slow giant in literally 5 seconds of conversation. Personally I think all 3 were/are great. If Tysons opponents had absolutely nothing then the Lewis/Klitschko batch of HWs can at least claim to be the largest and most powerful across the board ever if not the slickest. Since when have championships been 6 round fights? The cards are irrelevant. An out of prime Lewis beat an in prime Vitali. Those are facts. Cuts are a part of boxing. It's also funny how you only pick the black fighters or "brothas" as you put it, as overrated. Tyson only beat bums but Vitali and Wlad have beaten quality opponents. Yeah Ok.

If you think really hard....it's Calzaghe. I cant see how. Most people dismiss him as a euro fighter, Ive never come across anyone who claims his legendary Tyson has been getting crapped on a lot over the last couple of years so again i cant see how people here would consider him to be overrated either. Its has to be Hopkins. "I'm legendary, because I beat Winky, Tito and Oscar" lol You even have guys here claiming his a top 50 ATG

who you got and why? 1) hopkins 2) rjj 3) wifebeater 4) calzaghe 5) hamed 6) lewis 7) tyson 8) pacquiao 9) morales 10) mab Def Tyson, because no one overrates RJJ anymore, they know he is shot, but people still speak of Tyson as some kind of beast. In retrospect, he was dominating a very poor division (worse than it is today) for a very short time. His claim to fame was a shot LHW and an another old champ. Tyson was beaten by a bum in his prime, "Buster" Douglas, and then afterwards stopped or lost many times every time he stepped up. He ended his career to less than mediocre losses and quittages. I don't care how shot you are, if you are a legend, you should still be beating guys like McBride. So his entire career was marked by losses and upsets. I understand that he had mental problems but to me that is not an excuse, if anything, that's the reason he was overrate, because that mythical intimidation factor would fade away every time he stepped in with someone who would not be intimidated by his aura.

Tyson no doubt. I think hes the only one in that list who lost to a journeyman in his prime. The only thing that should make him legendary are his interviews.

Tyson for sure. For whatever reason, people still view him as close to invincible in his prime, and actually give him a chance against the likes of Ali, Louis, etc. He's not even a top 10 heavyweight all time.

i vote hamed cuz i dont think hes legendary, but taking him out of that list i'll say RJJ. heres my breakdown of the ones i think are over rated 2) rjj - relied to much on his athleticism. kept his hands low, didnt jab, backed str8 up. 3) wifebeater - hasnt fought good enough competition to warrant legendary status. hatton, hernandez and chico were prime but shane and oscar were not. JMM is not a WW. zab just sucks. 5) hamed - who thinks he's legendary?!? 7) tyson - came up during a weak era, then went to jail when lewis, bowe, moorer, mercer, morrison and holy were around.

RJJ is the best fighter on that list. I disagree. Pacman is the best fighter on that list

I voted Hopkins. Most of his "best" wins are over smaller opponents. He tends to lose when faced with skilled opponents his own size

Joe Calzaghe - Fought past his prime Jones and Hopkins. He should've fought them earlier. . He did try to fight them earlier
