ESPN: Manny Pacquiao Planning Retirement in 3 Years

The boxing champion also told a news conference in Manila he's willing to fight Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez again but that the match would probably not excite fans. He sounded doubtful himself, saying "I would not watch Pacquiao vs. Marquez." 3 years? great news. He needs to slow down though if he wants that longetivity and remain in his prime. A tune up or two is needed, he can't keep fighting at the pace he does and wars he has without it effecting him. Mayweather I can see lasting 3 years easily, Pac not so much. lol yeah by not fighting or going on extended vacation. Mayweather already looked like he lost his legs v Mosley. Anyways, this is great news for the sport. Love watching Pac fight, the goat.

He probably won't retire until he's forced to. That's how it always goes. yes I think this might happen .... I was okey with 3 more fights but I think he will milk everything that he can get from boxing while waiting for mayweather, then retire ...

A tune up or two is needed, he can't keep fighting at the pace he does and wars he has without it effecting him. Mayweather I can see lasting 3 years easily, Pac not so much. This will make the Mosley fight an easier pill to swallow. Let's say he takes Mosley as a tune-up (this just sounds crazy as I never thought I'd ever label him that)......if he fight Mayweather then gives us two more years....then I can accept that.

Manny's been fighting twice a year, so let him fight Mosley now. Better to fight him now (even tho he's shot) than later. So if Manny sticks to fighting twice a year, that leaves him with 5 more fights after Mosley :) and I really hope 3 of those 5 fights are: Mayweather Bradley Martinez

I knew it and told you guys. No way does a guy get to a point to where every fight is a ppv that will ink him a multi-million dollar payday regardless of the opponent, retire as soon as he has reached the top of the sport.
