The Pwill-Martinez last weekend was indeed one of the most dominating one punch knock out in recent years. I was rooting for Pwill but anyway, now we can add the word "Martinized" in the knock-out vocabulary. Moreover, it was eerily similar with what happened with the Pac-Hatton fight :
1. both ended in 2 rds,
2. pwill/hatton came in forward style aggresively, and
3. both were seemingly not able to see the shot coming.
One noticeable difference was that Pwill fell flat on his face while Hatton fell lying on his back :D.
In your opinion, which knock-out was better overall and how are they different? this question might be very vague but i would like you guys to throw some ideas like for eg., the fashion on how the knock-out was set up from when the bell rang up to that point it was executed, boxer skill sets, physique, speed, timing, executiion, or even worst, which one was just a lucky shot.
In my opinion, the pac-hatton fight was like more of a confusion and surprise on the part of hatton on the thought that prior to the knock-out, he was eating pac`s right hook (which i think was just newly added to his arsenal at that time) and that messed hatton up mentally and was forced to guard and be concerned his left face more, eventually leading to his demise. To me, it sounded like a solid gameplan which was executed to the letter. Meanwhile, the Pwill-Martinez fight, well i dont know how to describe it, they were clinching so much for most of the times, with each one trying to outdo each other and just keep bashing and bashing and rough when they hold (which is normal). sorry, if this is not so constructive but what the heck i was rooting for Pwill and just lost my very first three bets made in BS grrr:dead1:. if there was a set-up made by martinez, maybe I was not too keen when I watched it. maybe you guys have better ideas. :boxing:
pac hit hatton so hard, he retired, cheated on his wife, and started doing cocaine. pac didn't just devastate hatton's boxing career, but devastated his life.
pwill looks like he'll be ok.
Maravilla's shot was way more unexpected , the way he caught paul right on the button was pure perfection , paul was out right at impact of the punch and was knocked silly with his eyes wide open and looking lifeless
Both are very impressive KOs. Hatton got ko'ed standing up, PWill just crumpled to the floor.
A big difference between the 2 is you can see Hatton's hair shake when he got rocked:blow:
isnt it suppose to be williaminized vs hattonized?
i already thought of that, but williaminized is too akward and lame gay like lol. the same reason why it wasnt pacquiaowized :D. martinized is cooler just like prescotted :boxing:
pac had hatton down on the 1st so its safe to say that it's kinda expected but not to the extent that ricky would drop so bad..sergio caught pwill dead on tracks fell face 1st while the audience dumbstruck..maravila takes this
Martinez.
Hatton was already knocked out by Floyd before.
Martinez KO'd and exposed Williams with one punch. Williams has an above average chin and he can take some good punishment in a fight. Martinez KO'd the most feared man on the planet and most ducked fighter (lol).
