Puerto ricans are black

Right now, just opinion, I know PRs are black, Indian, and Spaindard/ Euro... Yeah mainly Black and Spanish indian not so much do we look like mexicans????? NO do we look like peruvian???? NO Those are american indians Spanish couldn't kill them 'cause those are big countries and they were too many of them. Cotto is mixed white + black, Tito is black + white, Juanma is black + white, Wilfredo Gomez white + black, Calderon black + white, Rocky Martínez mixed, Hector Camacho mixed, Daniel Santos mixed, Eric Morel mixed, Wilfredo Benitez mixed the list goes on and on.

Wrong! most Cubans are whiter than whites, you are just basing your statement on Yuriorkis Gamboa and co. There are more black Puerto Ricans than there are white/light skinned. no stupid, i live in miami, where cubans from cuba will tell ya, its not rocet science, just your a mexican on the west coast, and you dont know about latin culture, or even seen a cuban or pr inperson to understand :D

Oh Ok, we'er Black, Indian, and Spanish. Surpise, but we'er the lightest skin color country in the Carribbean. Meaning we'er more Indian and Spainard/Euro than black, if you look at Cuba and DR, they are more black than PRs. I have yet to see a Spanish census where blacks were the majority in the island. Spaniards were first the majority, then WE (the mixed ones) came to exist, and if you see the Spanish time census, as time went by, mixed race people started to became the majority. Not to say that I am very proud of my African heritage. And even the whitest of Ricans grows in a culture which is very African, specially when we dance/party. EDITED: And when we eat! The whole "Ricans are black" thing has to do either with: 1. Well intentioned Ricans that get mad at people being ashamed of our big time African influence/heritage. 2. Colonized Ricans that use the American made One Drop Rule to talk about races. 3. Political Ricans that use racial differences to pit us against other Ricans, or even other countries.

If you are saying the indians as the boricuas well they were but actually we are mostly blacks and spanish mixed. That's why the spanish brought slaves from africa because they killed almost every indian that lived here so they needed someone to work for them. Besides the indians that lived here were from south america they came from Venezuela. Look at our culture our traditions are mostly from spain (El jibaro, el lechon, los pasteles ect.) and african they came from different parts of Africa mostly the west coast so they brought their music, language, la bomba la santería ect. According to what ive read in Wikipedia, Ricans are mainly spaniard/black. They have very little native indian in them. Thats bull, we are the lightest skin color country in Carribbean, we are not Cuban or DR, PR is Boricua. :D IN my opinion, I think thats propaganda.

So seen as Wilfred Benitez and Tito are black, they are not Boicuas.... They are Boricua, their skin color has nothing to do with it, nobodies outcasting anybody, did I outcast Trinidad? 80 percent of Puerto Ricans say they are not blaack to the cenus. Only 8 percent do.
