i mean, he could literally flash KO mosley the first second of round 1, and it would be immediately discredited by floyd fans:
1) mosley wasn't the same since mayweather
2) mosley is 40 years old, too slow

I really, really hope they don't go with Mosley. It would just be a pure insult. Oscar coming off losses in 50% of his fights in the last five years or so and was just shot, Hatton coming off a bad KO loss to Mayweather previously, Cotto coming off the detsruction by Margarito and then having a terrible night of it against Clottey, Clottey was just Clottey and then fighting Margarito who had also been beaten in his last fight by brutal KO (not counting that terrible tune up in which he looked shot).
Now, Mosley after looking terrible against Mayorga, great against the ****eful Margarito, but then looking his age and shot against Mayweather and then getting all but beaten by ****ing the Contender guy! He's forty years old and just doesn't have the goods. He's not a top threat to anyone any more, unless they have literally 0 defense and are slow as all hell with no skill, and he just owned and lost every round but one to the guy they should be fighting.
They need to get one up on Mayweather. Not fight an old guy that he was pwned in his last fight. It's just pointless. The outcome is certainly not in any doubt and there are other greater fights that could be made.
Instead of fighting these 'name' guys that are either at the end of their careers and coming off losses and finished, why not go with some of the young, fresh guys with names and a big fat 0 on their record? At least then it would stop the routine of taking out already beaten/old fighters. We could see someone who still has something left and is hungry.
Alvarez would be interesting. It would be good to see him in with someone who can box, counter etc for a change. Chavez is as big as Margarito and has a similar chin, but has some life in him so that could make for an exciting war if they decide to stick on the tailor-made opponent path. Berto could be exciting while it lasted. He's fast and can punch a bit but has massive flaws and is easy to hit (and hurt) which would also make for an exciting fight. There are a lot more options to go with and the Mosley fight is the least attractive of all and also proves the very, very least.
He's not a slick fighter in the least as some like to think. He's pure brawler/puncher and an old shot one at that who couldn't even beat the Latin Snake. What's the point of a Pac fight?
I just meant that he had losses on his record so that the "he was so devastated by the loss, he was never the same" excuses wouldn't hold for him. I know he didn't lose right before the May fight but he had lost in the past so he had previously proven that he could lose and rebound from it.
Fair enough... But it's different when you're coming off a devastating knockout win over the ww champion.... And then showing you can't pull the trigger in may, and the having a horrific looking draw against mora.
At least in the Floyd fought there was some confidence in thinking mosley was ready coming off the marg win... But after these two last performances? At 39?
Hard to muster up a lot of confidence ... Or credit.
Mosley lost before he fought Floyd?

The deal is.......this fight would be a measuring stick in a sense. Another common opponent that both Pac and Mosley have fought. May got rocked by him and came back to dominate the fight but he did not knock Shane down or bust him up too badly.
If Pac fights him and utterly destroys him and say he stops Shane, then people will have some sort of comparison between the two based on the fight. There is already DLH and Hatton but people say DLH was drained and Hatton was neer the same after the Mayweather fight. Mosley had lost before he even fought Mayweather and he is a tough, solid opponent. If Pac destroys Mosley, then it has to start becoming conclusive what will happen between the two guys if they meet. So far, Pac has performed FAR GREATER than Mayweather has against common opponents. I know styles make fights but If Pac shuts Mosley down, I would be confident that he could shutdown Floyd too.

That would be precisely what the Pacqiauo fans said about Mayweathers win. And it doesnt matter, whoever Manny fights, he will get credit for. I see it now, a long list of Pacqiauo fans will scream that this fight is a terrible and stupid fight, HBO will do abit of promotion, and magically, the fight is 100% legit. This exact process has literally just happened with the Margarito fight.

Ask yourself this question... Even if Floyd fans said those things...
Would it be that far from the truth?
How good of a win would it really be...?

Pactards said Mosley was old when floyd fought him, im sure he hasnt gotten any younger.....has he?
