if u think pac didnt carry marg in the 12th round you dont know shiet about boxing lol..
lol at hatton the only one sleeping...if he sees this, the self destruction continues...
No he didn't. Pac domintated the fight and knew he was clearly winning the fight so he didn't want to take any risks to get himself in any kind of trouble. Had the fight been close he would've approached the last rounds in a more aggressive way.
Manny Pacquiao took it easy on Margarito at the end of the fight. Plain and simple. Go watch the fight again.
Manny carried margarito for the later part of the fight. He coud have had the stoppage way before the 12th. I give margarito for still trying, but he had no chance.
Have to agree with this. No reason to risk a fluke loss in the last round when you have it in the bag. He went for the stoppage in 11, and in 12 he just made sure he won.
Had Roach asked Manny to "knock this puto out" like he did with Cotto...
Margarito would have been layed out!
But Roach knew Margarito took a beating that would later on cause Parkinson's - so he called Pacman off...
I think he might have. Why kill the guy? I also think Pac felt if he went all out in the 12th, he wouldn't have KO'd Margarito but he would have given him a lot more damage, which would not be good for Margarito's health. I think Pac said to himself, just win the round without landing anything too hard. Roach said in an interview he told Pac to knock him out in that last round.
Bingo. Pac couldn't knock down margs let alone ko.
The fight wasn't over cause Margo was still marching forward throwing punches, that means he's still dangerous. No I don't believe he was damn near begging the ref to stop the fight cause he didn't want to hurt him anymore.
So what does it mean by Pac keep looking at the ref seducing him?
yeah when pac started looking at the referee, he just wanted the ref to stop the fight so he can get his easy win. pac was just too scared of margs the last few rounds or he was just too lazy to commit power punches against a semi blind opponent...
Ah, just to convince me more that everything is a coin flip, one say this and the other say the exact opposite. Nice comment, it is appreciated no matter what :)
Are you an attention whore? Why else is this even a topic, there is nothing to speculate over. It was a stated fact not minutes after the fight ended.
good job OP.
That very question should be address to yourself as well and all the posters here in this forum. Dont you think this is why we join this forum in the 1st place? I believe there is nothing wrong with it and a guy like you has much to learn to appreciate other human beings, as if you can live in this world by yourself with no help from others.

No boxer is going to think like that. He's not Ghandi nor is he some male version of Mother Teresa with boxing gloves. Margo is a tough guy who is dangerous the whole entire fight. No matter how much punishment he'll take, he keeps on coming and coming, and if you lose focus for just one second he could very well take advantage of that and it could be all over. This is also the same guy who had already hurt Pac during the fight. Pac fought smart the last couple of rounds because he didn't have to go all out and not because he felt bad for the poor Mexican.
Nicely said but I think your way wrong. How many fighters you know take the time out to look at the ref 2 or 3 times damn near begging him to stop the fight. It doesnt happen that often. Manny did that because he knew the fight was over. Come on now you have to admit that much.
He still gave enough activity to win the round, but was pulling his punches. He didn't want to give a point away, but obviously didn't want to cause him anymore damage.

I think he was having a hard time catching Cotto, not going easy on him.
Wasn't he looking at Bayless at the last couple of rounds to stop the fight? Hmm, maybe I'm mistaken.
It's obvious he did. Pac seemed to still be energized in the 12th, and Margarito was there to be taken. He wouldn't have finished if Pac didn't allow him to. Pac admitted as much in his interview afterwards.
