He can face the winner of Martinez vs Williams and fight for the WBC Middleweight Title. Dont be surprised if Martinez wins and Floyd announces to fight him because Floyd has expressed interest in a Martinez fight before, so if Martinez wins the rematch against Williams, Floyd may fight Martinez, considering it will be for the linear middleweight title.
A second choice would be to fight Andre Berto for the WBC Welterweight Title (Berto would have made 5 defenses of his title by then, and Floyd may want his WBC title back.)
Floyd can also fight Timothy Bradley if Bradley successfully beats Devon Alexander (Bradley will have the WBC and WBO 140 lbs titles if he beats Devon.) Bradley can fight Floyd at Welterweight as Bradley has fought at Welterweight before, I doubt Floyd can make 140 anymore, if he can then it would be interesting to see him vs Bradley at 140, but either way I dont mind seeing Floyd vs Bradley at 147 because Bradley has fought at welterweight before and looked decent.
So basicly for 2011 Floyd has 3 options:
Mayweather vs Martinez for the linear middleweight title
Mayweather vs Berto for the WBC and Linear welterweight title
Mayweather vs Bradley at either 140 or 147 because Bradley has fought above light welterweight before.
So basicly for 2011 Floyd has 3 options:
actually only 1... devon alexander. no wonder wifebeater was being all chummy w/ king.
Mayweather vs Martinez for the linear middleweight title
pffft... yeah right. too much risk.
Mayweather vs Berto for the WBC and Linear welterweight title
hell nah... haymon won't do it
Mayweather vs Bradley at either 140
wifebeater couldn't even make 144 lbs
or 147 because Bradley has fought above light welterweight before.
shiit ain't happening... bradley can't sell.
1. Martinez? IMPOSIBLE! he dont have an advantage with Martinez, knowing Floyd he always want to have a big advantage. maybe if Martinez gets old he will consider fighting him. LOL
2. Berto? Hhhmmm he don't bring anything to the table, just like floyd always said he fights for money.
3. Bradley? same as Berto.
floyd has advantages over martinez. technically floyd is a much better boxer better defense. floyd has more experience stamina and also the best boxing iq in the game today
floyd dont need pac
pac dont need floyd
but the worlds want to see this great match up, for boxings sake. and so neither of them would look like cowards in the future....ya know?

Wow, nice gif of a shot over the hill 38 year old throwing a right cross that even a 10 year old girl could have avoided. That takes skill. He's def number one in my book.

If Martinez get's past Williams and Floyd decided to fight him at 160 for the belts that would be epic and in my view hugely marketable. A former 130 pounder fighitng for the lineal MW title (perhaps the moset prestigious division in boxing historically) against another flashy fighter and flashy personality.
Floyd would prob come into the fight weighing 154-157 (his walking around weight) on the scales and on fight night.
Don't see it happening though. Neither MP or FMJ has anything to prove fighting PWill or SM at 154 and above.
1. Floyd doesn't need Manny = Absolutely true. Also applies the other way around.
2. Floyd will fight Sergio or Williams...HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!
3. Floyd fight at 140...HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!
More likely scenario.
Mayweather fights next year, maybe in May (if he doesn't have to do any time...which he won't)...against Mathew Hatton in England.
