Just got word from his co manager that Tony just got out of surgery and is in the recovery room. Everything was a success and he should only be sidelined 60 days. They said that when the orbital bone cracked, the muscle lodged into the crack causing his vision to be impaired.
Tony would like to thank those fans who have supported him through this he really appreciates it
What was with all the hydroxycut stuff? Lampley and Kellerman said someone on Camp Margarito asked Margarito if he wanted to take some and someone from camp Pacquiao saw it and told Roach. Was that in addition to the coffee or was it the same thing?
Tell him Jack loves him and is 1000% proud of him and hopes he gets better soon and whoops Cotto's ass next summer.
Seriously tell him.
:lurk:
Dude, seriously that is so gay.:wtf1:
What a load of garbage.
Margarito has a lot more fans than Briggs, that is why there are more people concerned with his welfare.
Common sense. Try and use it.
Not to mention that Briggs fought in Germany and that fight was seen by a small fraction of as many fans in the US.
It's a shame Margarito is finally getting respect on here from some by his gutty performance on Saturday. I didn't think he had much of a chance and thought the matchup was somewhat of a farce but anyone who has followed this fighter throughout his career should know he is a warrior through and through. And from 2000 until the Cotto bout, was the most underrated fighter in the sport bar none. The handwrap scandal does bother me but he fought clean (we think lol) on Saturday night and gave a game effort. The 2005 version against Pacquiao would've been a thriller. Glad to hear he's out of surgery. I'd like to see him take one last fight before bidding adios to the game.
Good post.
So you guys only care about a boxer's health if you root for that boxer. You don't care about the fact that these guys risk their lives to simply entertain you. You only care if it's your favorites that get hurt.
Great bunch of human beings this forum houses. You all must lead very happy lives.
You saying i didn't feel pitty for Briggs?
Interesting.
Yeah I know, I just didn't want to go there. These guys defame America ever chance they get. The irony? Almost all of them live in America. BoxingScene is a sham.

All this concern for Margarito. These are the dangers of this bloodsport.
Shannon Briggs took a much more hellacious beating from a one of the hardest punchers in the heavyweight division, suffered many more injuries than Margarito, and no one gave two shits about him. And to top it off, Briggs has never attempted to entire the ring with plaster in his gloves.
Are you saying shannon briggs doesn't have as many fans that marg has?

hes mexican
good shlt bro,So rios will still fight at lw?Does he make weight fine?
yes
remember he took this on 8 days and had to lose a ton of weight
the aspect that he had been training because he was on 24/7 was BS. He barely started training two weeks into HBO filming and had no sparring other than the sparring he had helping Eloy Perez get ready for his Oct 15th fight
Tony musta been watching the Rigondeaux fight
hey don't hate on rigondeaux.
his fight gave me an opportunity to go outside and smoke , go get some drinks , go get something to eat.......all while not missing anything.

many thanks for the update glad to hear it went well.
it was splenda
from what I was told Tony was getting cold and sleepy so he asked for coffee. One of the team brought it to him with splenda which he poured into the coffee. Roach saw it and objected to it saying that he could only have water not coffee.
fuking sweetener?
roach just wanted something to whine about.
