Its just a fact. Im sick of hearing how bad Jack Johnson would beat Vitali or nonsense like that. We have the video, Jack Johnson was a terrible boxer, absolutely horrible, his fights were wrestling matches. Look, when you look at sports greatest athletes of the 20th century you see athletes like Jesse Owens, Make Spitz etc....sure these guys were greats, great athletes, great accomplishments, that doesnt change the fact that if they were around today with their times they wouldnt even make many college teams. They wouldnt even be top 100 in the U.S. today in their events let alone the world, let alone for 100 years. Klitschko's are too big, too strong and too smart. They have the benefit from studying the past, seeing what worked, what didnt, and using science to determine stronger punches, miliseconds to get ones guard back up and things such as that. So I am not saying they are "Greater" than Joe Louis, Marciano, or Ali, but they would probably kill both in the ring. And that goes across the board in sports, just look at NBA guys like George Mican, watch him play, dude wouldnt make a lot of high school teams today. I see football lists with Red Grange and stuff, you want to call them great, go ahead, but they couldnt compete today and neither could these dudes.
In the 80's there was a revolution regarding weight training and, well, PEDs (legal or illegal). The stuff Arnold was doing in Muscle Beach, as well as some powerlifters, went sort of mainstream, and suddenly athletes started doing the impossible.
Now, with modern training and knowledge, I don't know how harder would a young Foreman punch. Or how much more pop and stamina Ali would have.
It is VERY difficult to compare eras.
Well considering this statement and considering your avatar picture, your non objective analysis of both Klitschko's getting Ko'd by Tyson in one night has been excluded from being taken serious.
So I guess that clears it up.
Same could be said about your screen name, Moron. lol You really can't be this ignorant can you?
Frazier couldn't even deal with a big man like Foreman, who doesn't even take full advantage of his height and reach. He is a small Cruiserweight compared to Wlad or Vitali.
Either guy knocks him out cold, sorry to burst your bubble. I know some of you guys are big on the historically great heavyweights of the past, but they're physically outmatched against 6'6 250lb Heavyweights with very good boxing skills.
George Foreman was a hell of a puncher that met you head on. The Klits don't fight and take chances like that. Know your history before you open your mouth. And No, Tyson was not in his prime the night he fought Douglas. He had been on a downward spiral since getting rid of his trainer and was definitely not in tune for that fight. Again, know your history before you open your mouth around here, you will be schooled.
Somehow though, our modern ways do not make either Klitschko a good inside fighter. They do not give Wlad ATG stamina or an ATG chin. They do not give Vitali ATG skin nor did they stop him from getting injuries, including one in a fight where his opponent was an average-sized old time heavyweight. Your thread is bull****. The Klitschkos are just big guys with talent and dedication. That's not to say that they are definitively not great fighters, but only that they are not out of any ATG heavy's leagues by any means.
Frazier? Frazier would have been KO'd by Wlad without wlad even having to use his right hand. Frazier's pressure? First of all his shots wouldnt hurt as much, second of all his output...what, throwing half of the punches as Vitali throws? Find me any round, any round, seriously find me one round of frazier vs. Ali, and of their 3 fights, one round where he threw more than Vitali did against Arreola in any given round. The worst round against Arreola against Fraziers best against Ali, just find me one. Seriously, ill be waiting.
Wow, it doesnt take boxrec to know Shavers was a bum. The dude fought in clubs in Ohio and Pennsylvania the majority of his career, he lost every meaningful fight but one against a washed up Norton, never won anything of meaning and lost in his prime to fighters with losing records.
And is someone on here really going tot ry to say since Vitali got hurt against Byrd he lost to people below anyone. Only person who ever actually beat Vitali was Lewis (arguably) and Lewis would do the same thing to anyone pretyson.
Sorry if the truth hurts, but Vitali isn't as good as you think. His height and reach advantage have a lot to do with his success, not to mention all the bums he's faced to make him look good. If Vitali throws more punches than Frazier, that's because he doesn't throw a lot of them with a lot behind it. Frazier threw haymakers and that's what causes the pressure I'm talking about. Frazier would have a hard time landing, but his relentless pressure would win him the rounds. Vitali is not fast enough to land on Frazier like Ali did because Frazier is a non stop bobbing and weaving defensive fighter. Frazier wins all day long against either brother.:damnit:
The Klitschko's, I seriously doubt, would beat an extremely aggressive pressure fighter like Joe Frazier. He had too much stamina, power, and relentless pressure for either of the two. They are big guys and because of that, could not equal Fraziers output. Sure they could jab, move away, and hold him off some, but they would lose round after round against someone like that. Ali would also easily beat these guys. He was too fast and coordinated. He'd pop them all night long and win an easy decision. He'd probably stop Wlad in the late rounds. I do give them a good chance against everyone else pre Tyson.

Wow you do know how to use Boxrec! You missed the obvious that Ernie could punch and punch well. Wlad does not have the greatest beard. If I was trolling I might have mentioned Tex Cobb.

Yep, Johnson would fuk up the Klits. :boxing:
Those big slow Russians would piss their big Russian pants with Ali stinging the ever-loving shiit outa them for 15 rounds.
Yep.
Both of the brothers picked up losses to fighters beneath Foreman, Ali, Norton, Holmes, Liston and Fraiser in their primes.
To say they wouldn't stand a chance against them is absurd when there is a strong argument to support the Klitscho brothers losing to those fighters listed.
Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Foreman, Lennox, Shavers, Norton, etc. all beat the Klitschkos (and I like the guys)... should I mention Corey Sanders and Lamon Brewster?
Wait, when was Lennox? Oh yeah, after tyson.
Shavers? Shavers beats a Klitschko? You should be banned for trolling because of that. Shavers lost in his prime to Bob Stallings, thats right, 17% KO% Bob Stallings, losing record club fighter Bob Stallings knocked Shavers down for 9 and won a UD over him. Shavers beating a klitschko...quit trolling. For saying that I know you can't be reasoned with because anyone who thinks earnie shavers would stand a chance against a Klitschko is just a troll.
