because USADA would not risk injuring the fighters by taking blood at least 14-7 days before the fight
they don't want to be blamed if any of participants would affect their performance
esp. if the fight was supposed to be the most lucrative one, most sought after of our time
that's why they cutoff at 18 days
so Floyd fans: would 7-day cutoff suffice?
Because Floyd wants no window , funny you dont know that , things change over time , Manny was offered 14 days and turned it down , Manny was offered 50/50 and turned it down , Floyd is saying fuk you , now you come to the party .
Not true. Floyd doesn't care about the testing at all.
When Manny signed to fight Margarito, Floyd said that he was going to get Pac in the ring and beat him bad and teach him a lesson.
Notice how he didn't mention the drug testing?
Floyd mentions the drug testing when Pac isn't signed to fight.
When Pac signs, Floyd suddenly doesn't care about it, gives all the macho talk, and says how he's going to beat Pac down.
That inconsistency speaks volumes.

Floyd didn't want the fight, he could've accepted the 7-day window if he really wants it
he should've accepted the terms because no way the USADA will test them a week before the fight

This arguement is pointless. Roidy dog eater was already as a roid user. He should accept the test so he can show to the world he is clean. Want proof? Then how about this incriminating video of him using A-sie meth. Video don't like especiually if you're caught red handed and even advertising them: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435273
Roidy dog eater drug pusher.
care to explain why Floyd has gone to vacation instead of accepting the 7-day window

if manny is not goin to get tested 7-14 days before the fight then why don't they agree to the random drug test? i never understood this, why doesn't someone explain to manny that he will not get tested that close to the fight

Floyd's tests proved that Manny is scared to get caught. He's already gotten in his poor oversized head. There are numerous boxers and boxing insiders who are sure he's on something illegal.assumptions... assumptions... are willing to name your source and present it in a proper place for this accusation???
cause manny wants it in paper so that no one can be bribe to give Manny tests 1 - 2 days before the fight and get away with it by justifying it cause it was random. Pac is an entertainer and will not pospone a fight even if he is at a disadvantage.

And by your logic you're saying the law is relative to where you are, am I correct?
And the only reason you're debating this is because you don't like him. When Mosely and Vargas got busted where was the uproar for OST. No one gave 2 $hits about improving testing back then.
As for Manny, I don't think he should take these tests until they are year round and they are being implemented by the governing bodies or the promotions. Make it across the board.
Well,I can respect your opinion, but we both know that Manny isn't going to do all year randomized testing...especially if he won't conform to this for just 8 weeks.

Mosely was an admitted dirty fighter during the time he fought Oscar. That should be condemned and he should have had a discipline of some kind. The fact that he took the random tests showed that he wanted to correct the wrongs that he did and prove he is clean these days.If he would have made excuses and lied to the public of all of the imaginary phobias that Pac's team did-I would have deemed him to be suspect.
BTW-don't assume I don't like to watch Pac or Floyd fight. I watch BOTH of their fights, but I am not an exclusive fan of theirs....that is where you get your judgement clouded. Are we going to hear you scream if Floyd asks another fighter to take randomized testing?
I have never heard ANY fan (of Floyd's or Manny's suggest aspirin is a PED),but the logic is idiotic.
It appears, with your logic, (from this conversation) that if you gamble in Vegas, you must be a criminal, because most states ban gambling.
And by your logic you're saying the law is relative to where you are, am I correct?
The only reason you want to debate about this is because Manny was asked to take these randomized tests....do you believe him to be incapable or too good to use PEDs or do you want him excluded from taking these tests?

Once again legal where? If steroids like Xylocaine were legal in Nevada but not anywhere else would you be saying the same thing.
Strict testing should be applied to everyone and no one should be singled out, we agree. I don't have a problem with people putting time frames on this BS testing that Floyd is asking for. It is not year round so it is completely ineffective.
The problem (in your debate) is that xylocaine is actually LEGAL,so it nullifies the point you are trying to make and makes you look petty.
Worry about the banned substances, not the pain killers that are deemed legal. If it was illegal, you would have something that I can agree with, until then....
Would you suggest that Manny should do year round testing as opposed to just a few months? You know he would never agree to that, not without dictating a cut-off at some point!
COULD but not always, Floyd's been lucky so far. Likewise Steroids can give a person Nasty side effects and could end up hurting your performance. Just like Floyd, people still take it
Aspirin? Well why not, according to the drug crusade by Floyd's fans anything is illegal(except for Xylocaine) if it's taken 14 or even 7 days before the fight.

Yet you make innuendos about Floyd taking a LEGAL pain killer and suggest that it should be banned...probably because you just don't like him,not because it relieves a fighters hands from pain.
Strict testing should apply to ALL fighters, not exclusive to one person. In fact, not one person should feel like they have to make any form of excuse when asked to take them before a major fight....If Floyd is a drug cheat as you suggest by implying Xylocaine being illegal, then what do you think of people who want to put time frames on RANDOM drug tests.....it doesn't look good no matter how you want to spin it.

Brittle hands will break with or without pain killers. Xylocaine does NOT prevent breaking or fracturing your hands....if anything,it could harm his hands further if he hit too hard and didn't feel it! Again, do you consider asprin a PED????

Not at all, I believe that laws, and their progression should effect the society as a whole and not just target someone with a witch hunt.

The correct attitude is to assume EVERYONE in the sport is capable of abusing P.E.D's...
Yes it does, he gets more reps in because of it. Some people don't have great cardio so they take EPO; some people aren't very muscular so they take anabolics; and some people like Floyd have brittle hands so they take numbing agents.
