People keep saying it's Marg's size that is his main asset against Pac and that he's too slow to really get to Pac, easy win for Pac right?
I don't think so, in Pac's last two fights he's shown he's open to uppercuts straight up the middle of his guard. Just watching how Marg throws these uppercuts, I'm kinda worried.... If Marg lands too many of these, and he will land a few.... I don't think Manny could take too many uppercuts from someone with the leverage in height and arm length that Margarito has.
Anyone else worried?
margarito needs to get close to throw and land those uppercuts. if pac will fight him like he fought dela hoya, using the full lenth of the ring darting in with his fast combinations then stepping out of margarito's reach, it will be harder for margarito to launch his own offensive attacks. also, if margarito is getting hit his offensive rhythm gets derailed too. margarito needs to set up his offense and most of the time he start it off with a weak ass jab like some sort of measuring stick. with pac, he's going to face an opponent who will throw punches coming from weird angles.
His brilliant stamina didnt do sh*t for him when Sugar Shane raped his ass infron of 20,000+ fans at the Staples Center Jan 24, 2009...:boxing:

I dont know whats the deal with PAC, the only time I see PAC getting tag by uppercuts is when he's doing the earmuff. Is he getting tired and trying to rest? Is PAC stamina is not what it used to be?
The only way I see Pac losing is if his stamina doesn't hold up like Cotto. Pac will eat some uppercuts but not like Cotto did. Margarito will put a lot of pressure but he won't catch him.
If Margarito can take Pacquiao's early onslaught, Pacquiao could be in a bit of trouble when he slows down later in the fight. Margarito has got brilliant stamina and can throw punches all day.

Good points all, I still think Manny has to be focused 100% to win this fight and I don't think he is. He's going to get a bit lazy in there and maybe take Margs too lightly and before he knows it he's going to get buzzed by one of those uppercuts or a shot to the liver. Pac's been on the up for a while now and he could be getting too comfortable.
Marg's is nothing like that anymore. He doesn't have the same things that got him to the top and kept him there. Margarito doesn't have the same stamina or speed (he was never fast obviously but he is really slow now compared to just normal) anymore. He was ****ed by the tenth round in his last fight and not throwing much at all. He is not going to be a problem in this fight. Pac will look brilliant in it. Margarito is the perfect fighter for him right now. A guy past his best, just been knocked out and looked shot in his last fight and hasn't fought in over a year.
Pac will KO him early I think. Margarito would have had trouble with Pac's speed years ago but would have eventually worn him down, but Margarito is all but shot now. No chance anymore. If Margarito can land a couple early on, which I doubt, then it might at least make it an interesting fight, but he will still get messed up.
Mosley was just about shot to **** and he annihilated Margarito without the slightest problem. Pac, right now anyway, has better defence than Mosley, more speed, better stamina, can still throw more combinations. The only thing he doesn't gave more of is power and there isn't that much of a difference because the speed and angles he throws at nearly makes up for it because you can't see the punches.

I think he can and will
I mean he took Mosley's bombs for 9 rounds and he wasnt even in the fight
But Pac wont slow wont later in the fight though, so i think he will be fine
Margs swings wide and slow but with power. Not every punch he throws is an uppercut. Pac throws fast and powerful and straight down the pike...Margs is going to try and pressure Pac but it will backfire on him. He will be eating machine gun punches trying to bully the "little man" and he will wind up covering up like a DLH and Clottey. He could try and match him punch for punch like Cotto and Hatton but we know what happened there.
Manny is going to be tested for sure with those upper cuts and shots to the body. Manny likes to stand in there and prove he can take those shots. So Margs will get some opportunities for sure
