if Solis can get his weight under control he could be a force in that Heavyweight Division, he has excellent skills and good power and very good defense, I don't know about the Klitchko's...BUT I think he could beat Adamek and Haye RIGHT NOW!
but yeah I say in about another year or so those Cuban fighters will really start to make a lot of noise
Ugas is the future in that Welterweight Division IMO, I am more excited about him then the others, Lara is ready to make noise now, he just need a chance at a big fight to show the world how good he is
the problem these guys will have is actually getting guys to fight them, people are aware of how SKILLED the Cuban fighters are so most of them present match up problem so they might become avoided unfortunately, Lara been calling out Martinez and Angulo for a while and with only 13 Pro fighters under his belt and neither of them want anything to do with Lara...SAME for Vanes OVERRATED A$$
are you ****ing stupid? solis' dream is to have a title shot. they did talk about this fight once but vitali went and chose a bum (as usual) instead. btw, if this fight happens now my money is on vitali, but the dude who wrote this shiet is a dumbass.
back to the topic, and concerning the first post: you know what's the beauty of this? there's not even 50 cuban pro boxers right now and already a champ and so many ranked prospects.
WOW...very impresive !!!
why.. cause vitali already exposed that bum gomez.. everyone was saying gomez was going to beat vitali... but vitali whooped him
and solis already ducked vitali
J.S: You are obviously very confident. The experts seem to feel the Klitschkos are pretty much unbeatable right now. How will your fight with Vitali be different from the other fights he’s had - where he hasn’t lost a round, much less the fight?
O.S: You should ask him what he thinks about facing a guy like me, someone who he has never faced before. He’s never met a fighter like me before.
J.S: What do you think the other guys who have fought the Klitschkos have done wrong? Why can no-one even win a round against them?
O.S: That’s their problem! All I know is about me and what I will do. I have my strategy, my coach has his strategy, and my promoter has his strategy. I have everything it takes to be the best. And I guarantee, when I beat the hell out of Vitali, after that everyone will be able to beat him!
J.S: Were you impressed by Vitali’s last couple of performances, against Albert Sosnowski and then Shannon Briggs?
O.S: Why should I be impressed by the Briggs fight, when Briggs wouldn’t even spar with me? He’s a 40-year-old, with no skills, nothing. He was just a punching bag in the fight. Actually, that tells you a lot about Vitali - that he couldn’t KO a guy who was just sitting in front of him, doing nothing.
why.. cause vitali already exposed that bum gomez.. everyone was saying gomez was going to beat vitali... but vitali whooped him

Bum Gomez? That is one Vitaly best win. Really it is... How shitty is Vitaly resume if one of his top wins is agasnt a bum. Doesn't speak well for Vitaly career. Then you add his wins over Briggs and Sosnowski Vitaly is just beating bums after bums. Why should he get credit for winning against bums?
And, no Solis didn't duck Vitlay, he called out Vitaly and in return Vitaly fought Sosnowski and Briggs.
lara is overrated....gamboa and riogndeax are the future tho...:boxing:
Nah,
Lara skills, talent, development, and age makes him the future out of all the Cuban boxers IMO
Eastern Europeans are completely dominating the amatuers too.
Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko is the #1 p4p best amatuer fighter in the world. He will be a future p4p king in the pros.
How stupid are you to compare a how region like Easter Europe to one country?
Why not just compare a country by country basis?
i like cuban fighters. I think if they were allowed to fight professional then they would be the top latin country inthe sport ahead of mexico puerto rico. Skill wise they are very talented. Look at all their great amatures, now imagine if they turned pro.
amateur is completely different than pro

Do you think that maybe they are rushing Guillermo Rigondeaux? With only six professional fights, his next fight is against one of the very best super bantamweights in the world.
Cordoba is past it now. If Rigondeaux being 30 or maybe even older is not ready for this version of Cordoba then he will never be ready for the true elites of the division.
vitali offered a fight to solis.. solis declined
how did vitali duck solis exactly you idiot

People talk about this guy and that guy ducking Klitschkos. The three guys who ducked Klitschkos are Valuev, Haye, and Povetkin. It's not an issue about Race. Timo Hoffman was not a great fighter, yet he took vitali to 12 rounds. Why? Because he was also tall and used his range to fight at a proper distance. I do regard both Klitschkos as good HW champs, but they didn't come in to the division with the talent that existed in the 70's or even early 80's.
Now HW's are getting bigger- you have Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and Robert Hellenius. With a proper trainer i don't see why atleast two of those three guys could give either a klit a run in 2 years. Wilder is 13-0 with 13 KO's, with a world class trainer and being 6-7 he can fight either KLit in 2 years.
Lewis was coming off the KO win over Tyson. In the Lewis/Tyson
Lewis and Tyson are the same age and both were on the wrong side of 35 when they fought. It was one old guy dominating another. Against Vitali it was old guy vs a PRIME guy who was 6 years younger.
Lennoxs face looked perfect after the fight while Vit looked like he was mauled by a Lion.

vitali offered a fight to solis.. solis declined

I don't even like Solis but without a source i can't take this post serious...
It's time for me to reveal the truth again.
Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis
THE TRUTH
Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.
Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.
punches landed
Vitali 156
Lewis 102
Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.
All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.
Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.
Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.
Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.
Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"
Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"
Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.
Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.
You're missing the point, if that fight hadn't been stopped Vitali could've suffer serious injuries to his eye...and worse.
Yes, Vitali was winning the fight on points, but Lewis won.
