What’s the general consensus on referees, do you guys think they are too soft on fighters, or they don’t enforce their power more? Take BHop for instance, should he have gotten penalized more often for his “dirty” tactics? What about Miguel Cotto vs Zab Judah? What about stopping a fight? When Pacquiao faced David Diaz, I remember the commentators said, ‘the fight would have been stopped by now if it was Pacquiao’s title on the line.’ Also, do refs let some fighters continue fighting b/c of their name, and maybe for their honor?
I just think too many fighters are taking unnecessary punishment, at the end of the day these are people too. If you guys agree or disagree, what changes would you like to see?

They should just clone Kenny Bayless and have him referee all fights.
yeah Bayless is good, I really like him. The only fault I see in him is sometimes, not always, but he doesn't stop fights soon enough; when you think of Cotto vs Margarito, that fight didn't need to go that far, nor did Bayless need to start counting for Cotto, when he was obviously done, if Cotto chose to continue, barring a miracle, it could have only gone worse after. But, he is my favorite referee nonetheless. I understand it's a combat sport, but should these referees let fighters continue or stop them sooner?
