It's funny to see people tell a fighter that HE is wrong about the fighters HE fought. I'm not necessarily saying Klitschko is better than Lennox because Lennox has a much better resume, but let's not forget when Shannon and Lennox fought (both were younger, closer to their primes) Briggs damn near ko'd Lennox, had him badly hurt a few times. Briggs couldn't land a glove on Vitali, who clearly isn't in his prime either, plus had a five year layoff. Resume alone is what has lewis ahead of Vitali, because in terms of who is the better fighter that is surely up for debate. Yes Lennox has a win over vitali but we all know the circumstances surrounding that fight. A prime Vitali lost to the absolute worst version of Lennox Lewis. There is nothing to debate.

He did better against Lewis, but then again he threw punches, and Lewis was lazy and looked out of shape. Briggs is much older, much slower, and Vitali really wanted the KO. this thread is a joke for the guys that say that vitali has a HARD as rock chin that could never be dented. i can tell you this. if the vitali that you see today fought guys like a prime holyfield. a prime foreman, a prime holmes. he would get knocked out. a prime foreman had unbelievable power & was highly agressive....both klits couldn't fight foreman the same way that ali did. both klits have NO foot movement. they are like a poor mans ali without the foot movement & fundamentals. they stand straight up for the most part behind a jab. they need a opponent with lesser skills & lesser advantages to stand there & try to fight a technical fight with them. they love that. the problem is when you have an agressive banger who's in shape & has plenty of stamina. they feel awkward when backed into a corner with a fighter such as that. prime FOREMAN is that & more..... i think that a prime holyfield. is a perfect death wish for vitali. you think that vitali has a great chin but in a fight like that (prime holyfield) you'd see him get knocked out...... Lmao @ an undersized HW giving Vitali any trouble. This is the same guy that got manhandled by Riddick Bowe who wasn't nearly as strong, powerful or good. Lewis is scared to death of Vitali. You are 100% right. Briggs a proud and true warrior and wouldn't lie about this. He knows Vitali is the ATG HW. Also, Lewis was on his way to being he knocked out when the DR. rescued him. The proof of his immeasurable fear comes from the fact that rather than face Vitali again, he retired to become one of the worst commentators of all time on HBO. Props to Briggs for declaring what the enlightened boxing cognoscenti already knew.

Forget his foreman comments but he said he fought LL and Vitali and Vitali is the best. That is all he is saying. Its an opinion from his experience fighting them, so he must be allowed it. There is not going to be much difference between Vitali and LL anyway. Vitali was ahead on points against LL so Vitali would be competive in any era. The guy is 39 and takes four years out, and still is the best so you got to give him credit. We will just never know if he would beat his brother.

People need to wake up and realize that Vitali is the real deal and would give any heavyweight from any times a tough fight. The way he is just completely dominating people is just brutal. Yeah the guys arent the best heavyweights ever but he just viciously beats them down. He deserves the respect. Thats the way it is

yep he said it. and he also said.. "He hits harder than Foreman, he's got incredibly fast hands." that cant be true can it?? Vitali better than a near 50 year old Foreman......is it possible?? :lol1: Perception changes when you are young and in prime to when you yourself have slowed and are old. I don't know but what reason would he have to lie? I'm not making any accusations, but it is possible that someone from Vitali's promotion slipped Briggs a few grand in cash to say that. Things like that happen more than most people think.

The Klitschkos have been dealt with easy competition and it makes them look far superior than what they really are. They need to fight and beat David Haye and then we can start comparing them to great heavyweight legends like Lewis and Foreman.
