Not to sounds racist but the HW division needs some athletic fighters to rival the klits. Its a shame all the best athletes are in the NFL/NBA :( Imagine an athlete such as ray lewis starting boxing at aged 10 or so? He would be a beast! Or a lebron james type of athlete at like 250+ and like 6,7!! Its a shame they all go to the other sports as teh rewards are easier.
I wish more African Americans would enter the workforce!
slavery wasn't enough?!?...j/k
as for the thread....it wouldn't matter if the HW's were african, native, white or illegal Americans....the Klits would whoop their asses in the exact same fashion these HW's are gettin' it today
Yes but what about the millions that play college sports?
For most, boxing has to start at an early age, but at thier peak, black athletes in america are put into basketball or football. Then when they realize they didnt make the NFL or NBA, they are 18-23 years old and now its usually too late to box
Plenty of good boxers started their careers late in life, and if these NFL rejects are such great athletes as you claim then they should have no problems learning the ropes. Are you telling me that out of the millions of kids that don't make the draft not one of them has the ability or desire to learn a new sport, especially a new sport in which the division they're fighting in is widely hailed as amongst the weakest in history? Come on. Matt "The Indestructible Zombie" Skelton made a decent career for himself in his late thirties; prior to that he was a K-1 fighter and before that a Rubgy player. He's about as athletic as my overweight aunt. Why haven't we seen any of these super-athletic African-American ubermenschen making a stab at boxing and having the same success? It beggars belief.

Antonio Tarver?
lol the NBA has between 400-450 players total. The NFL about 1600. There are far more athletes combined from Eastern Europe played the sports i listed.
This honestly isn't sh*t talk, i'm sincerely asking because it's a stereotype/generalization but there does seem to be truth to it and i'm genuinly not sure why it is the case. How come alot of Jewish people like yourself seemingly worship and genuinly think that Black Americans are the best at anything pertaining to athletics?
For the USA for example, only 1 black american has ever won a Gold medal in Olympic Weightlifting for the USA while at least 3 Jewish Americans, maybe 4 or 5, have won Golds.
Prior to me sharing that with you i suspect that you would not have thought Jews were stronger than Blacks although the evidence would seemingly indicate that. Also keep in mind Black Americans are about 15% of the USA's total population while Jews make up under 2%

but that is the argument in which guys who are NOT from the US may get a little confuse when people say that other sports are taking away great athletes from Boxing IN THE US, because yeah they have other options, a lot of guys in the US who could potential be Heavyweight Boxers are playing other sports
people say many NBA Power Forward could be Heavyweight Boxers because most Power Forwards in the NBA are VERY PHYSICAL and they to have excellent footwork especially for their size...that is the connection between boxing and basketball
I'm not saying that soccer is taking away the best potential American HW because it clearly isn't. I'm saying Americans can't simply use the NFL and NBA to conveniently excuse their dearth of decent HWs given that every other country is in the same position regarding boxing being a second tier sport. The problems with boxing in America go far deeper than that.
1 other thing. If we're talking about Black Americans and NBA guys.... Boxing is a 1 on 1 sport, they wouldn't allow 7 other of his Black friends to get into the ring and help him so that would eliminate quite a few from ever stepping inside the ropes.
lulz @ the concept of "thugs" fighting 1 on 1

Thing is, the best potential boxer playing soccer right now isn't necessarily going to be the best soccer player. They're two different sports and to excel in one doesn't mean you're going to excel in another. Just look at MMA and boxing, two vastly more comparable sports. Even then you can't simply say, ok Wlad dominates boxing so he'd KO Lesnar, doesn't work like that. My point was never that a soccer player could just transition to boxing and be great, though that's certainly possible as Sergio Martinez demonstrates. Rather, it was that out of all the potential guys who might one day have become a great boxer but chose another sport instead that sport is more than likely going to be soccer, given its vast worldwide popularity.

Vitali and 6'10 Lamar Odom. Look at their Necks, forearms, and legs. Vitali's neck is literally 2x as thick.

No, but this guy is:

He has every physical ability you all talked about. He was very fast, quick, great jumping ability, stamina, height ,etc.
"Because blacks in the NBA are the best athletes" and he was the best of the NBA.
Best in the NBA, sure. But a great athlete should at least be respectable in other sports. Jordan sucked when he tried his hand at baseball.
Then he can't be the best athlete then, surely?

This is probably the best defender in the world Carles Puyol.
Very tough central defender hard tackler excellent ball control footwork, turn of speed and I think he could slug pretty good and probably has a decent chin.

I am a fan of Puyol but dude he is 5'10 and 78kg (170-172 lbs)
again Soccer guys are not very big in general, sure it is a few big guys but again they are not 6'8 250 lbs, guys like Ron Artest and LeBron James are HUGE and they run and jump and move so well for their size

it is not like these are SMALL guys that run and jump and move around well these are big guys moving around so well
Michael Jordan was the best basketball player ever/ athlete.
He couldnt even cut it in AA baseball. lol. Let alone boxing.
Then he can't be the best athlete then, surely?
Sergio Martinez was a soccer player and there have been others.
And, I know soccer players also turned to basketball like Olajuwon and others
he was a cyclist as well I know that, I am aware of Olajuwon Soccer background, I already said that it is many guys in Basketball and American Football with a Soccer background
who is considered the best Soccer/Futbol Player today??? Cristiano Ronaldo? who is 6'1 176-180 lbs, decent size but I seriously doubt if he wasn't a Futbol Player he would be a "Boxer", it is absolutely no connection between a Futbol Players and Boxers but most Boxers seems to enjoy playing Basketball for some reason
