man after what i just saw vitali is beyond great. hes a ****ing legend of legends
man :smh: ive never seen a outclassing of an opponet in the division like this ever. this man is one of the purist martial artist ive ever seen. he is so akward hits from every angle and peppers the opponet with everything. he was world kickboxing champ and hes a black belt in various arts. i see how now. dude is a ****ing beauty to watch man. and when shannon said that i put everything in perspective. he fought lennox in his prime and george when he hit his most accurate. he said viali not only hit harder than them but was better in every aspect and i belive it
im not a stat guy but when your this head and shoulders above u have to pay attention.
he has the highest knockout percentage in boxings history
hes never been hurt or knocked down
hes never been behind in a fight
hes made lennox sit on the belt for a year and a half and retire
hes technically never lost a fight the only fights he lost was to injury and hes been ahead on all cards on both
and the biggest he made lennox look worst than any fight lennox ever fought.

Yeah i agree that he should have carried on the fight but its a ****ty way to lose or win thats for sure, i wonder if byrd is proud of that win or if he even counts it as a true win.
In fairness though he never really *lost* against Byrd, he was clearly ahead on points and didn't get tko'ed/cut.
The only true loss i put on his record his against Lewis.
Yeah, I guess, but he didn't get the win. He quit in a fight where he was ahead on the cards, and all he had to do was play defense for three rounds. He didn't exactly show goat championship spirit.

What are Vitali's top five wins?
Kirk Johnson, Arreola, Peters, Williams, Sanders? The best fighters on his resume, Lewis and Byrd, are both losses.
Vitali is a good fighter in a terrible era of heavies. Can't possible put him in the goat category.
Are we forgetting who Vitali beat last night in the ring?. Briggs is no where near the same fighter he was all those years ago, just take look at the Lewis fight. Briggs was pretty athletic in his hayday but after watching him get beat down for 12 hard rounds, he is a shadow of the former Briggs I once seen, the result was expected. Vitali done what he had to do but how on earth does it seal him as the best heavyweight ever? Their will always be questions marks over the K'bros heads, but that's due to the level of opposisition, which is not their fault.
Briggs was tired after throwing nothing, the result was as expected.
at the risk of being called a hater and racist (by some of the sillier and actually racist posters on here) it's prob less than expected. Briggs has no D. Vitali should have KO'd his ass within 8 rds.

He's great.....and i don't doubt he would beat Wlad if they fought. However a few things need to be examined. He beat Shannon Briggs?? Not a prime Mike Tyson or an Ali.
- So let's talk about Briggs some more. He's not exactly a virtuoso boxer is he...? The guy has little to no defence. He doesn't really move the head or the feet.....he just stands there. Lennox Lewis knocked him out in 5 rds over a decade ago when he weighed 220, not 260. His perception would have changed in that time. I can't conclude any measure of greatness from this fight.
- I thought he prob would have went on to defeat Lennox on points or been KO'd by Lennox had the cut not occured in their fight....but again Lennox still won within the rules. The cut was caused by a huge right hand that he landed, and he was coming back strong in that fight. A fight he wasn't motivated for and showed up unfit and overweight for......yet he was still smarter and prob on equal footing with Vitali. One can only assume prime for prime Lewis would have his number.
Let's also look at the opponents in this era (not Vitali or Wlad's fault). This era is the weakest ever.....people say Tyson's era was weak......well not really compared to this one. Bruno, Ruddock, Spinks, Tucker, Berbick etc would belt most of the men on Vitalis resume. Then there is Holyfield (whom i think he prob beats), Bowe, etc etc.
I mean with the exception of Lewis, a guy like Tyson would prob go through Vitalis resume without having to go past rd 5. There is simply no names on there with the exception of a faded Lewis upon which we can measure him.
He's good. He's difficult. He's big, strong, awkward, sound etc etc......but he's prob not even in the top 15 for HW's.....
as soon as a fighter gets a good (i'd argue this one is standard) win ppl jump on the bandwagon on this site......one loss later and they jump off even quicker.
48 year old Foreman got robbed against prime Briggs, Lewis kO'd prime Briggs. An old shot Briggs lasted 12 rounds with Vitali how the **** does that class vitali as one of the greatest ever?
these klit nut huggers are just sad

lewis wasnt 40 yrs old when he stopped briggs you fool and at least vitali was never hurt in the fight unlike lewis. briggs made himself an easy knockout victim when he threw everything he had in that first round with lewis

Green K - VITALY KLITSCHKOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ONLY FIGHTER IN HISTORY TO SHARE GOAT STATUS WITH HIS BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice thread. He looked solid again tonight. Want even close to losing a single round. To be fair, he pretty much had the knockout tonight but Briggs got saved by the bell.
