At the end of the day, boxing is a business. But it's hard to conceive that boxers in this day in age take dives, payouts, etc. Cheaters will always be around, ie steroids and illegal hand wraps, etc. But flat out losing on purpose? i'm not so sure...
speak on it.
Japanese boxings full of fixed fights isn't it? May just be an assertion that I'm making but I'm pretty sure I've heard something about it being reasonably corrupt.
neither pac-clottey nor floyd-mosley was fixed.
mosley lost cause he's old as **** and has been inactive for quite a while. clottey lost cause he never gave himself a chance, and in his mind, lasting the distance with pac is good enough. plus, he has diarrhea
Because Clottey fights siimilar style to that , its all the more feasible to swallow the scam without asking why he cut his work rate in 1/2 and backed of everytime he landed anything ,,, just like Margo looks like a plodder getting flogged by Mosley it will be feasible to say he tried hard but was always a plodder , again with half his normal work rate and no real offense ,,,, and you fools will swallow it like Uncle Bobs good little fanboy muppets .
So because the fight went the way it was expected, that mean it was fixed? He cut his workrate in half because Pac never stopped throwing. That's how Clottey always fights. Why aren't you asking if Margarito-Clottey was fixed, where Clottey was incredible for four rounds and then cut his workrate? Why aren't you asking if Cotto-Clottey was fixed, since Clottey lowered his workrate in the championship rounds despite having Cotto cut, hurt, an on fumes out there?
Have to be naive to think it doesn't happen, that being said I don't think it happens in any of the decent sized fights, it usually happens in off-tv fights I'd guess...
Nothing suspicious about it. Did u see the Mosley/Mora fight? Mosley was tired after probably the 4th round. No surprise he got tired after the second with that huge flurry he threw (and missed ). He almost KO'd Floyd with one punch, and was clearly trying to go for the finish.
It's impossible for anyone to think Mayweather/Mosley was fixed, but not find any suspicion in Pacquiao/Clottey. Especially considering how much damage Clottey did with those few punches he did throw. Kinda gives a hint that if he threw the kind of punches that someone trying to win a fight would throw, he could have gotten a TKO from cuts or somethin.
If anyone can't see that, than they're just bias.
i totally agree with this post
Of course, with people betting millions on a fighter to win, you had better believe that sometimes a boxer gets an unexpected phone call telling him that he had better come away the loser of the fight. Then they are told that their son or daughter is sleeping right now wearing blue pajama bottoms and has a poster of Hannah Montana or Spongebob on the wall......that boxer does what he is told.
what's creepier is that they say it's a soft spoken stuttering white dude who's been making those calls lately......... :boxing:

Probably not in title fights, but I'm sure there are guys that are desperate for a paycheque, that jump in with rising fighters for $1000, and take a knee because they're only there to pad the record. They take a bit of a beating and then bow out.
Pac-DelaHoya was FIXED.
Pac-Clottey was FIXED.
and now, Pac-Margarito will be FIXED.
(all fixes arranged by Pac's co-promoter-Oscar DelaHoya)
hardcore accusations.

The next big fight in boxing matches a known plaster user against a suspected steroid user.
That should answer your question.
It definatley exists still but not as much. There are many decisions/scorecards that make you go what the ****?! These are pro judges surely they wouldn't score fights that bad?
Agreed. Corruption definitely exists, but if people who think Pac-Clottey is an example are simply wrong about it. That's how Clottey fights, and Pacquiao is the worst possible matchup for him.

LOL at the noobs who said that Pac vs Clottey was staged because 'Clottey didn't fight".
Clottey likes to block punches, wait for his opponent to stop punching then counters. That's his style.
Unfortunately, he was fighting Pacquiao who never stop punching so Clottey never stop blocking.
Any boxing fan who really knows boxing should've known exactly how the fight turned out.

Yeah I believe there's corruption. Boxing is a business so you have to protect potential superstars a little bit to turn them into cash cows later on.
Bob is the expert at getting paid twice while doing it right under everyones nose ,,,, this fight is fixed as sure as eggs .
