Won't this just cause them to overrate themselves even more and ask for more money in future fights which they don't deserve yet since they haven't really done much in the higher levels of the sport?
By rewarding them with a WCB slot, they're going to create more monsters like Mayweather and Berto and not have enough money to pay real fighters for real fights.
Lets face it, 40' is way overrated and these guys are getting a bunch of credit for something they're SUPPOSED to be doing.
Alexander's best win is a loss to Kotelnik and Bradley's best win is probably against Kendall Holt. I mean, that's pretty weak by standards from even ten years ago.
This is classic Boxing After Dark matchup. Imo, the winner here can shed the label of prospect.
Yes.. This fight should have been in BAD while the Donaire-Montiel should have been in WCB..HBO had it reverse. Hauser was right in saying that stylistically this fight will not make for an entertaining fight. But in fairness you cant dispute how relevant this fight is for the division.
If you buy into the hype, that's true. I myself never bought into the hype about either of these guys. Bradley is a shade above average and Alexander is flat out terrible.

We should worry about all this crap when it happens. It's not like they don't deserve to be on world championship boxing considering they r both world champs, considered the best in their division.
It seems to me the only reason ur complaining about this fight being (free on HBO...) is becuz ur simply not a fan. Well Bradley and Alexander's FANS don't care. And I'm sure general boxing fans don't care. WCB or BAD, it's all the same.
The division is ok. I wouldn't call it stacked. There's 4 fighters.
Ortiz and Judah, plus all the lightweights that can move up, and all the welterweights waiting for them to move up. Just imagine if Valero was still alive... woof!
Khan-Maidana is also on WCB. I wonder what the TS thinks of that considering he is a Maidana nuthugger.
Maidana knocked out Victor Ortiz in high style, that trumps anything Bradley or Alexander have done.
Khan is a chinny hypejob so of course he's gonna be pampered by HBO.
Whoever wins will be a hollow, paper "unified" champion after Kotelnik was robbed against Alexander. I honestly think thats why this fight has lost a lot of its lustre.
Kotelnik will get his shot again I am sure, Alexander struggling with Kotelnik did kinda ruin this match up a little, I don't know about the Winner being at "PAPER CHAMPION", I do think Alexander should have fought Kotelnik again first before going after Bradley but if Alexander beats Bradley, Kotelnik could be the first to get a shot especially since both is with Don King
BAD?? Considering how big this fight is. The fight will be a PPV as it should.
Who says shit like this? Seriously.
How in the hell does this belong on ppv. Bradley isn't known in Los Angeles, his fan base is out in Palm Desert where he fights in a tiny casino ballroom
I mean seriously, gtfo.
If BAD was good enough for Gatti/Ward and Morales/Barrera it sure as hell is good enough for these two prospects.
at first people was going crazy and demanding this fight...even going as far as saying that Bradley was ducking Alexander...NOW people are hating on this fight already before they even get into the ring
this is a big fight with a lot of GOLD INVOLVED, the winner of this fight goes on to UNIFY IMO, with Don King as one of the promoters I don't think they will have any problems selling this fight and building up this fight at all
Don King is a damn CROOK...but he can sell anything if you give him enough time and this fight is not tough to sell at all
lets be honest some of you are hating on this fight for other reasons that has NOTHING TO DO WITH BOXING (Because They Are Two Americas and and/or Because They Are Two Black Fighters), that is how IGNORANT and Childish this board has become

Bradley doesn't even have a big fanbase bro.
Devon has a decent following in St. Louis.
This fight ain't even that big. C'mon bro.
It's a huge fight to fans who follow the sport.
And while commercially it's not huge, and the ratings may not justify the money spent, it's as relevant as can be. It's a top 5 fight you can make in the sport.
