Once Montiel stops ducking him I'll bet all my points on Donaire. He's better than anyone at 118 including Mares. Still haven't seen Moreno, but I'll be he's probably being overrated by cool guys on here who want to seem cooler than they really are by watching guys nobodies every heard of. Perez is good, but he's not dynamic enough to hang with Donaire. What??????

I wouldn't say he is better than Montiel nor Moreno. I haven't seen any proof that he is a better bantamweight than those 2. Why would anybody say he is the top 2? Because, he KO'd Vic years ago? Nah, the bantamweight division is way too deep. He is not top 2. He has to prove it to me first. Hell his next fight against Sidorenko might be the best opponent he has faced since Darchinyan. technically donaire hasn't beat anyone there yet but you know damn well he's top 2. It's like when Pacquiao moved from 140 to 147 or whoever. I wouldn't say he is better than Montiel nor Moreno. I don't pay much attention to anything below 130 anymore. I only watch the top fights. Sure I'm really excited about the Bantam tourny and fights like Montiel/Donaire, Juanma/Marquez, Caba and Gamboa vs. whoever. But I'm not going to make it a point to see fringe contenders going at it.

Casual fans watch fights below 126 sometimes.

only asians or latinos care about anything under featherweight. because their boxers dominate those classes. i'm hardcore boxing fan and don't care about those divisions much at all because i'm not asian or latino.

I watch any live boxing I can find, but under FW I start getting whos in what division confused.

I never consider what to watch based on weight class, why would you when a straweight fight could be FOTY (its a candidate this year)? The drawback to the smallest weights is that a lot of the champions stay regional and are overprotected and it used to be that you can't see their fights on TV but with the internet you can watch most of the high profile bouts. yep, the only reason why you can't really keep up with it is because of the obscurity of those divisions

Honestly It really doesn't matter as BW will play itself out. I say this because BW is filled with guys who will fight anyone at anytime (minus Donaire). These guys (with the exception of Donaire) will eventually end up facing each other....so in this instance a tourney to force these fights would be in vain (as most of these potential fights will eventually happen). yeah, but the tourney is a way to give them exposure

that is not true...i just recently got showtime... and i said im not AS interested because donaire and montiel arent in it... and lets be real it would much more interesting with them involved they are the top 2 guys in the division.. a casual fan would not even know who donaire and montiel are but you'd still watch the tourny right?
