Margarito is the fukking man and has won my respect as a person.

Seriously, he's the fukking man. He's dedicating the Pacquiao fight to my dear friend who passed away last saturday night who trained a lot with Margo and learned a lot of things from him. He was only 18. His casket had my friends Reyes gloves hanging above and there was a big ass flower arrangement with the words "From your friend Tony Margarito" a picture of them together with a message and countless of gifts from Tony. I don't know I just thought it was such a nice thing to do from him. He was helping my friend for all three of his professional fights. He won the Mexican nationals and got first place last year. Tony was a big part of his career and would always train with him. So I'm making this thread for all the people that get personal when it comes to discrediting Margarito because of the handwrap scandal, tried to cheat or not he's a great humble person and seriously needs to stop getting hated on a personal level so much on here since this website is pretty much a huge part of the boxing community. Thanks for your time if you read all of this.

Very nice of Margarito but it doesn't change the fact that he is a fukking cheater. Sad 2 hear about your friend though. Hope his fam is ight, 18 is a young age 2 go man. Smfh. Yeah bro I know, and he was getting his career started. He was a promising amateur here in TJ since he won two gold medals in the nationals. He was already getting good guidance in his career and was going to become a great fighter....SMH :nonono: :(

Personally I think the allegations were blown way out of proportion, thats just me. blown out of proportion? he got caught with plaster in his gloves!!!! People also seem to forget Mosleys cheating. yeah, his roiding really helped him beat DLH the 2nd time right?

First of all my condolences I know how difficult it is to lose a good friend. I like Margarito he seems like a good guy, he really lays it on the line everytime he fights. Very entertaining fighter. I think some people on here you know the very sensative super fans who are like extremsists and the worst thing to them is to hurt the integrity of "their" precious sport so youve got to realize how some people continue to go overly nuts over the allegations on here and will probably never let it go even though there was never any proof before the Mosley fight. Personally I think the allegations were blown way out of proportion, thats just me. People also seem to forget Mosleys cheating. The main thing is Margo cannot try to cheat again his gloves will be heavily scrutinized from now on. So people need to move on. Great post, I agree. And thanks man I appreciate it, it's been rough these past couple of days.

He passed away from not breathing.....that's all I will comment on it. That was back in 08....he started fighting at 160 this January and was moving down to 154 little by little. The way his physique was right now, he looked completely different I'll tell you that. He got real skinny. Sorry to hear about your loss and that is a nice thing for him to do, but I will never respect him. I thought it was completely disgusting that they tried to use illegal weapons and even worse of him and his team to mock the whole situation in his last fight. He doesn't deserve the payday he is about to receive. If anything he should donate 100% of his pay to fighters that did it the hard way, like your friend. He redeemed himself in my eyes just for the fact he did what he did for my friend. A lot of people were wearing Team Mojac t shirts in there which is the gym he trains at in Tijuana. I liked what he did because I know my friend looked up to him a lot. Thanks homie. Understandable. I wish your friend's family the best of luck.
