He needs to fight 2-3 times a year, hes not getting younger. He needs to fight so that he can stash more money for his flashy lifestyle when hes retired on the sport.

I think it's because he simply doesn't need to. He will only fight if the money is right he doesn't fight for the plaudits so he will have 1 huge fight a year for mega bucks then he won't need to fight again because he's sorted for the rest of the year money wise.

Because it's easier to defend not fighting Pacqauio once a year than 2-3 times a year.

why do you think they only release a small proportion of gold in the markets? To make it seem rare and thus the price is ridiculous. When Mayweather fights its the biggest event in boxing, he doesn't need to put his body through so much stress especially at his age now. I think if Mayweather kept fighting he would up his price even more than by NOT fighting. If he had fought and beaten Cotto and Margo in 2008, and Pac in 2010, and dropped his whole fake gangsta image, people would be naming streets after him.

Cause mayweather is a coward straight up. The fighting for money excuse is more bulls*it than all the bulls in Spain. The more you fight the more you make.....DUH! He just doesnt want that 1 loss on his record cuz then people will know what a fraud he truly is. And this is why more fightes/promoters don't fight tough, because boxing fight fans think one lost is the end....
