I could use EVERYONE's input on this topic. If you are for, neutral, or against it, please feel free to drop your opinion in this thread on OST, random blood testing, etc. in all sports.,,,especially boxing.
There should be year round testing in Boxing. None of this, 'let me hire somebody I want, and have them test me for 2 months, while I pay them' - that **** just sounds stupid, saying it. Year round, or none at all...NOTHING in the middle, it prevents us from actually coming to a realistic conclusion. Testing 2 months, only gives the illusion a fighter is clean...I think it's all marketing, and you know who I'm talking about. And this sh*t has to be handled by a boxing commission. Once again, year round or nothing at all. They could all be roiding as far as I'm concerned! Good Luck on ur essay!!!!
I'm all for OST. That being said, if someone really wants to cheat, they'll find a way around it. Just look at Barry Bonds in baseball. How the hell was MLB supposed to be able to test for THG and HGH at that point in time? People can just have someone like Victor Conte design some new steroid or PED that can't be detected, and they'll beat any drug test put in front of them.
Yeah, it's really unfortunate but it will always be that way. Doesn't mean we should give up.
Your right im not getting anywhere....its a shame when posters have a fear of criticizing their favourite fighter.
lol.....even if you claim to be better than a former olympic doctors about ost's , bloodtesting, etc, you really cant win can you?...........lol
Why are you arguing with this idiot who has to create an alt to prevent embarrassment?

All this OST is still BS in my book. There will always be cheaters that get around things and no matter how stringent the testing, people will always suspect those who excel no matter how many times they're proven clean (just look at cycling or even Phelps/Bolt).
I'm all for making testing better than what it is but lets get things strait, implementing OST (especially the non-year round Mayweather kind) will only weed out the complete idiots and won't be that much more effective than what is currently in place.
the examiner is a blog posting, and that dude is a biased asian. Just look at the rest of his articles. Next time, try posting thing from a reputable source.
Truth is you don't even have to read any article to see the bs. I've been saying the same thang.
Whatever. Let's see what happens in the next Floyd fight!
ADJECTIVE: 1. Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective: random movements. randomly, randomness
so they just tested 18 days before the fight then after.....where was the pattern there?....lol........
That's the point of random. NO PATTERN. :lol1:
That pretty much says it all. Next time Floyd fights, the media will be even more aggressive in monitoring this OST sham. Get ready to bump threads like this!

I'm gonna go with the guy who thinks random means no cutoff. But you're too stupid to talk to. Maybe Ruben will continue this. Later, idiot!
lol...oh man......imdazed being imdazed, bithces out when the kithcen gets hot.....
LMAO at random means no cut off. Someone get this buffoon a dictionary.

Now that the genie is out of the bottle, or to put it simply, the results of the controversial random Olympic- style drug testing supposedly conducted on both Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Shane Mosley en route to their May 1st welterweight fight are now released to the public, a lot of people are crying out and shaking their heads in disbelief- that the much publicized drug testing conducted on the two fighters by the U.S. Anti- Doping Agency (USADA) is nothing but a sham.
Now, any boxing fan out there is aware that the negotiations for the Manny Pacquiao- Floyd Mayweather, Jr. mega fight bogged down because of differences in the cut off date of the so- called random Olympic- style drug testing which focused mainly on blood testing wherein the camp of Manny Pacquiao proposed a 24- day cutoff plus one right after the fight to which the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. camp countered with its last offer of a 14- day cutoff.
The USADA report currently circulating around various media outlets revealed that both fighters were tested a total of seven times including one for blood and urine after the fight, but the most telling of which were the April 12 & 13 cutoff dates for blood tests conducted on Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. respectively which were about +/- 18 days before fight night.
So, where is the promise that they will conduct the said blood tests anytime up until the night before fight night? Where and when did the “leveling the playing field” dogma come into play in this case? Isn’t it a complete disservice to boxing that, despite the hype and publicity, they failed to back up their claims considering that Shane Mosley is a confessed performance- enhancing drugs (PEDs) user in the past?
Some people will point out that the 18- day blood testing cutoff in the Mayweather- Mosley is immaterial since the focus should be on the word “random” and therefore even if the USADA cutoff period was 18 days before fight night, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Shane Mosley had no idea that they will not be tested again after the said date, which would be enough deterrent for them not to cheat. Yet, these same people were also the ones who were very vocal that a fighter can take PEDs and wash them completely out of one’s system in a little less than 24 hours afterwards.
Thus, on the basis of that questionable rationale above, Travis Tygart, the chief executive officer of the USADA, concluded that both Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Shane Mosley passed the random Olympic- style drug testing conducted by his agency and that the two fighters were clean athletes and “consummate professionals throughout the entire process.”
But if Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Travis Tygart and company think that the boxing public will buy this flimsy and illogical reasoning then they are absolutely mistaken. If Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Travis Tygart and company were able to sell the promise of random Olympic- style testing to gullible people in the past, this time they will be hard put to repeat their success for the boxing public are now aware of their brand of double talk. If Floyd Maywether, Jr., Travis Tygart and company believed that they can come out of this debacle unscathed, then they are absolutely wrong.
“It’s rather disappointing to learn that Money May and this USADA tried to pull a fast one on us. They thought that they can just easily get away from it that’s why. But we know better“ -- Marcus V. Detroit, MI
Contrary to some opinions, boxing fans are not dumb people who are not capable of seeing behind the smoke screen that they are being short-changed, and their intellect challenged to let people like Floyd Mayweather, Jr, Travis Tygart and company get away with it. And contrary to some stereotypes, boxing fans are not a bunch of "punched drunks" to let people like Floyd Mayweather, Jr, Travis Tygart and company fool them and continue to insult their intelligence when it is obvious that they are being taken for a ride.
This random Olympic-style drug testing charade being perpetrated by Floyd Mayweather, Jr, in cooperation with USADA’s Travis Tygart, has to stop. This comedy show run by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in cooperation with USADA’s Travis Tygart has to end.
Travis Tygart and the USADA have no place in professional sports and they need to clean up their own backyard first, which is literally and figuratively littered with PEDs and cheaters of all colors and sizes before snooping on the business of others. When that time comes, then they can have the moral authority to look on the other side of the fence. But for now, they better stay home and mind their own business.
So, If Floyd Mayweather, Jr. wants to “clean up boxing” then he should take up his case to the proper authority that has proper jurisdiction over the said PEDs issues like the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) or any other state commissions and let them decide on the matter.
Oh by the way, what kind of a boxing fan are you?
That pretty much says it all. Next time Floyd fights, the media will be even more aggressive in monitoring this OST sham. Get ready to bump threads like this!
i dont know whos embarrasing themselves now......me or a guy looking for a teammate that claims he's more credible than former olympic doctors....lol

random means no cut off right?......what was that 18 days without blood testing then?......
LMAO at random means no cut off. Someone get this buffoon a dictionary.
That was that doctor the commissions got to come in right? That was the most corrupt bull****, this is literally the stupidest argument the chances of these risks are slim and none. They do it in other sports so please tell me about everyone that has HIV, Hepatitis C and a hematoma from other sports, especially amateur boxing in the olympics. You are an idiot if you actually believe any of this crap.
Why are you arguing with this idiot who has to create an alt to prevent embarrassment?
If you understand the concept of random, then you have an answer. I'll try to educate you here but if you're a pactard by nature, it wont make sense.
Random indicates they can show up at anytime to take blood from a fighter. It doesn't mean they'll show up everyday for blood and the boxer doesn't know when they will show up. Hence, even if there is a window of opportunity for an athlete to cheat during a random drug test, they still risk getting caught as the tester can show up the very next day for blood.

That's why I'm asking these fanboys to give a theory as to why Tygart stopped at 18 days. What did he see?
