Yes it says a lot. Pac and the Philipines let's sparring partners talk while Floyd's team use guns to stop people talking and filming.
Can you prove that?

Foot speed and angles go to Manny.
For Medina to say that when he is in the Philipines that speaks volumes about Mayweather.SOme of the things Medina said were to make the Philipino public.
I can't understand how some people can totally discredit Pac's style vs Floyd. Remember Floyd's toughest fights against guys like castillo, burton and even hatton early on. You can't say these guys when they fought floyd were anywhere near the level of Pac right now.
I think the advantage that Mayweather has in the handspeed has to do with his timing, I think he has the best timing/defence in boxing.
Pacquiao doesnt mind getting hit so its safe to say Mayweather would land on him easily, Pac is not so difficult to find because he would be after you trying to land on you all day but the different when people get in there with Mayweather isnt throwing but landing and after a few rounds the frustration sets him when they are throwing without too much success landing while getting countered with well timed shots.
It's interesting to read that Marquez said Pac's faster than Floyd I'm pretty sure I read in an interview days after the fight that he said he thought Floyd was faster.
I think their both pretty even in hand speed, but Pac has a slightly harder punch and he really swarms his opponents and Floyd sits back and picks his shots more.
I think Mayweather will beat Pac by UD if they fight, just my opinion
floyd got rocked twice by a 38 year old 16 month inactive shane mosley who got a draw against mora.....when was the last time you saw pacquiao's knee buckle against a 38 year old who hasnt fought in 16 months and got a gift decision draw against sergio f*ckin mora aka skeletor?
I would like to be the fairest and just seeing both fighters without their personality. Having said that, I think your question can be deterred by:
• a well timed punch
No matter how hard, it can knock down anyone. Just look at how Mayweather TKOed Hatton. It isn't based on strength. He stunned him that made him get the TKO.
However, in my opinion, Pacquiao is the best when it comes to follow ups AFTER A HIT.
Having said that, I can foresee (if both actually fight each other) that Mayweather can potshot and win by UD (provided that he still have his "wheels" to run away) but as soon as Pacquiao hits him, it will be relentless like a floodgates being opened by force or by design.
There will be onslaught of punches that is almost "impossible" to weather. And Pacquiao is getting stronger as time goes on.
Having said that, that is both fighters' IDEAL situation, meaning both of them in their peaks and in their top condition.
But in a real fight between them, I think that either one of them (or both of them) can be not-so-in-peak. Meaning there will be the unpredictable factor. That X FACTOR.
• Mayweather has the potential to KO or TKO Pacquiao with his uncanny timing just like the way he beat Hatton
• Pacquiao has the potential to pummel Mayweather into submission
It will be 50/50 with my sight on Pacquiao winning it because of inactivity with Mayweather as he gets older by the day. His attribute of having squirrel-like instincts/reflexes is uncannily and almost superhuman.
But Mayweather in his last fight against Mosley was exposed, in my opinion (just like Pacquiao was a bit exposed vs. Clottey as well). Both fighters actually had superlatively good fights.
But in slight favor or Pacquiao now vs. the seemingly slowing albeit still smart Mayweather.

Faster than who, Pac? You didn't say so I have to assume. That's a pretty bold claim, and each guy has a different style. Does speed work better for a guy who pot shots like Floyd or a guy who wings combos from f*cked up angles like Pacquiao does??
I think that the way I humbly understood it, was that Medina said:
• Mayweather is faster than Pacquiao, hand speed wise.
As in potshotting. Linear speed from recognition, reading, letting go of the fist and landing it.
• Pacquiao is faster in terms of volume punch combinations, angles and footwork.
When Pacquiao lands, he follows up really well...smothering opponents from all angles as he move about with his agile footworks towards leverage of hard punches
And so for me, that is the PROS and CONS. Mayweather's linear and Single-Direct Attack is akin to a heat-seeking missile that will land. Pacquiao can miss but once he hits his opponent, that's it...he will continue to land until the opponent goes down.
Wouldn't it be perfect if there's a Frankenstein boxer adding both fighter's best attribute in:
•*landing the entry attack/move
• following it up mercilessly and relentlessly from all angles
That is a wow. For me, that is what Sugar Ray Leonard is...or at least closest to that.
Yeah, kinda like Joshua Clottey wasn't able to, right? He threw one or two shots at at time , and it seemed he hit him with almost every one. And, he is no where near as fast as FMJ is.
lol this is boxing are you expecting clottey not to be able to hit pac during that fight??? Boxing is about punching each other out. Clottey is expected to get some in. And when I mean some he got a few punches in. It was already as boring as hell and you expect clottey not to get any of his punches to get in?? Even how skillfull a boxer is when he steps in a ring you get hit. It's how much you hit someone wins a match =):boxing:
Everyone gets hit no matter how good you are.
I noticed how Medina said Pac is a smart fighter too. People don't seem to realize this, Manny just doesn't throw wild combinations, there is a science to the way he comes at you from crazy angles. I like how he said Pac's movement around the ring is incredible and much better than Mayweather's. Floyd won't be able to get his one or two shots off against a moving target like Manny.

Yes, he will. He'll land easily, too. Look at how the flat footed and slower Cotto and Clottey were able to do it. These guys don't even have Floyd's accuracy and timing.
Marquez was able to have great success with timing and accuracy, and he isn't even known for his handspeed.
Floyd is no sloth in the foot speed department. Mosley, who has a stacked resume, claims the fastest feet he's ever deal with was that of a pass prime Mayweather.
See I don't have a problem with saying that Floyd will land some punches but for people to say it will be "easy" just shows ignorance. Pac isn't a bum and although Floyd will land some good counters, Pac will punch WITH him. JMM was successful because he came back with 3 or four punches, he punched with Pac as he countered but also took damage and a lot of knockdowns for it. Cotto and Clottey are a different story, Manny was willing to take punches to get in his quality shots. I doubt Floyd will be willing to punch with Pac, one counter shot isn't going to stop the momentum of 3-5 punch combination Pac throws. Floyd will have to be willing to trade and we know he won't do that.
Mayweather has better defence, that I can't argue but if you compare their performances against common opponents in the professional ring, Manny has shown more blazzing handspeed as well as devastating power.
Hand speed is pretty even..But reflexes are not even close floyd by a mile
exactly, even though i'm not a floyd fan, that is the very first thought that popped into my mind.
the hand speed being the same, floyds reflexes are second to none, mainly because that is how he trains and that is the focus of his attack, reflexive counter punching..............

Every time Pac is going in he's going to get whacked.. Mayweather's reflexes is just too superior. Sparring is totally different too.. the opinions of Oscar and JMM is more credible than this unknown..
This guy sparred with both Manny and Floyd, so he would know. He also wanted to quit on the third round with Manny, but was told to finish the fourth round. :lol1:Well, Juanita Marquez fought those two in a real fight. And he said PAC is the faster fighter. However, I too think that PBF has the faster hands, but I give the footspeed to PAC.
I was at my boy's house and he has two monitors next to each other and we were watching PAC vs DLH and PBF vs DLH simultaneously and PAC appears faster on his feet and PBF seems to be quicker with his hands.

Foot speed and angles go to Manny.
marquez also mentioned that manny hits both faster and harder.
but he also mentioned that manny can't beat mayweather.
don't forget, styles make fights.
but as far as im concerned this fight isn't happening, so who gives a fuck
