Hands down its the one who has the biggest calves. Thats where the
Power comes from. End/ thread
LOL, Manny does have the bigger calves, and that does contribute to punching power, but he's the smallest man of the three. P4P I agree that he's the harder puncher, but when considering raw punching power, I got to go with the power boxer, Sugar Shane Mosley.
That will not always show the better puncher.
Manny doesn't often win fights on his power alone. It's his speed and footwork that wins it for him. Even without his power he'd still be good. Margarito isn't that strong a puncher, ok but not great, but his stamina and volume means he knocks guys out a fair bit.
Mosley on the other hand definitely packs a big punch. He's won fights on nothing but that. If he can't get his power in, especially now, he could likely lose.
Power is funny because they are too many factors that people look at.
Roberto Duran is a classic example. He wasn't a great puncher. Very good, but not great. It was his technique, combinations, speed and counter punching that got all the KO's. When he moved up he struggled to knock guys out and it was usually due to an accumulation, even at LW and below before finishing with a perfectly placed counter punch.
Julian Jackson is a guy with pure power. Could be outboxed but with one single punch completely blitz his guy.
KO ratios should be separated between Knockouts and TKOs/Stoppages.
The One with the highest percentage of KO wins
That will not always show the better puncher.

Miguel decisions Shane
Margarito TKOs Miguel
Shane TKOs Margarito
Manny TKOs Miguel
What can be gathered from these four fights?
That Cotto has poor defense and no stamina? Margarito has even worse, but good stamina and Mosley is old but hits hard?
I think a young Mosley would give Tito movement and in and out combos..TBH I think Tito was a better boxer then he gets credit for..I just think in the battle of the chins Mosley would have the major advantage..He would never have been the same after a fight with Tito tho IMO...
Interesting, I can see that outcome. The Shane that fought Oscar could have given Tito problems, provided he didn't get lured into a stand up shootout with with the Boricua Bomber. It's one of the great matchups, that never happened.
That's an interesting opinion. I would have loved to see Mosley vs Tito, after he beat Oscar the first time. Mosley's got a great chin, don't know if it would have stood up to Tito's hooks in a standup fight.

Forest hurt Molsey and I don't think he is a bigger puncher then any of the fighters named..But Cotto was landing clean shots and never hurt Mosley..Mosley rock Cotto a few times in their fight and punched Marga's head clean off his shoulders..This is not a hard one to answer Mosley is the harder puncher of umm all..
Side note:Tito might be the harder puncher but by very lil..I also think Mosley KO's Tito...

it seems that ppl still dont understand that there are two versions of cotto. pre margarito and post margarito. ****, even roach said so. it wasnt a lie. cotto came outta that fight different.
This is truth...

This is an easy question,Cotto was shot against Pac and just had been beating by bricks in gloves..An well Marga's was the brick layer who beat Cotto with bricks in gloves..Oh and Shane rock Cotto a few times in their fight..

I think the question should be who has the strongest punch and weakest chin?????
dont you think.................
If Cotto catches Manny on his chin he is gone for good he just could not catch him....
I think Cotto hits the hardest and Mosley fought Marg without plaster thats all folks..
Mosley did not hurt Cotto and Marg hurt Cotto its so obvious
Cotto also hit Mosley cleanly and of the two Cotto was the only one rock in the fight...
This forum is a Joke, how come can Mosley punch harder than Pacquiao if he could not threaten Cotto to go to the canvas and Pacquiao send him twice buzzing just to make and example.
Ask your self when each fighter fought Cotto and you will have an answer..
Shane caught Miguel with some pretty good shots, why then was he never really able to get Miguel into any real trouble, while Tony and Manny were able to hurt him?

Manny Pacquiao: The best fighter of the list. Definitely the most complete. He overwhelms all these other guys with speed and volume. Manny is not without his flaws though and they would be exposed by Mayweather and Mayweather alone. ie (No ability to adjust!-Any time Manny has recently been tested, Manny started and stopped the fight with the same attack plan in the Marquez fights. Once Marquez adjusted Manny could not adjust. What happens when his spinning bulls**t doesn't work because he finds he doesn't hold a footspeed advantage over his opponent?, What happens when Manny fights a seasoned boxer that can fight on the outside or inside LIKE MAYWEATHER and can force Manny to fight a BHOP/Andre Ward type of fight? What then? Can Manny clinch? Does he know what to do on the inside?)
Sorry I kind of got carried away.
It is true JMM gave Pacman all the problems in their two fights but arguably Pac won both fights that can go either way. Props to JMM of being great himself not some like others here trying to downplay JMM greatness in favor of discrediting Pac wins like he fought some kind of a bum but still gave him some problems. You also must put into consideration what weight classes they fought and what kind of Pac was back then and right now. Let says prime JMM vs Pac right now, Pac will win. Why? If less skilled Pac able to win arguably his two close fights with JMM. Pac improved version right now will do more damage to him. As Mayweather fight vs Pacman. We know Floyd has a best chance of winning against those Pac version who fought JMM. But right now, I see this fight being equal. Floyd a special fighter himself arguably has the best skills set in boxing right now but he is not a superman and has some other flaws too that can be exploited by a special fighter like him. His name is Pacquiao. You see, Pac I'm sure will able to handle his power shot, has the speed to match his speed, has the stamina to match his stamina, his low activity pot shooting against Pac blinding combination in different angles, has to footwork that can match his or better, has the chin to withstand all his shots, has a chance of landing harder shot he may not see it coming, his shoulder roll defense won't work against a southpaw specially like Pacquiao. My point is this fight is even however you look at it. Floyd being great himself most probably saw Pac chances that is why he asked for this ridiculous OST and when Pac called his bluff he went to vacation.
