id like to know how this one goes , i know joe beat a fairly slower rjj but he was not shot by any means , he came back the next fight and embarassed lacy , but i know rjj was a beast and untouchable in his prime or so they say ... but i rate calzaghe very highly and believe he is an ATG , both are great fighters how does this 1 go in their primes ! ??? i see roy winning a split decision but thats my view on how it goes
Neither did I. It was on some undercard. Dude was on the canvas for like ten minutes. Made Jones-Johnson look like a flash knockdown. I have to find it on youtube somewhere :lol1:
 :lol1:
Nah, can't say I remember that one. I never really followed that circus act.

Remember when Butterbean got KTFO by that chump from the midwest? That was one of the funniest moments in boxing :lol1:

I know, and Don King was behind that event.
Say what you want about Don King. People shit on him so much but nobody could put an event together like he did. No promoter has yet put on better undercards than that man.
Bob Arum was sucking back then with freak show undercards with the likes of Butterbean and Mia St John(enjoyed the view but as a boxing fan it was eh)
While Don King was putting on night of the rematches
Julio Cesar Chavez vs Frankie Randall
Azumah Nelson vs Jesse James Leija
Gerald McClellan vs Julian Jackson
Ricardo Lopez vs Kermin Guardia
Simon Brown vs Terry Norris
Meldrick Taylor vs Chad Broussard
Now that is an event. Look at all those names in one PPV card. No problem paying $60 bucks for that(Which was cheaper back then). Compared to what we're paying $60 bucks for now
:nonono:

And that card cost like $29.99 :lol1:
I was watching Holyfield-Tyson II the other day....what an event! And for the record, I've Holyfield came out looking faster and better than he did the first fight. He was in some serious f*cking shape. Sh*t made me sad, man.

I hate it when people try to use age as a way to factor in prime or the ability of the fighter.
It just such a stupid ass logic.
How old is Jermain Taylor?
Did you see the clip you posted? Half those guys looked like my butler.
And Roy didn't beat Toney, Toney beat Toney.
Rimmy, you may step down as the dumbest poster on this thread now..

14 years ago... crazy.
and what was Calzaghe doing across the pond? what was his biggest win when Roy already notched Toney, Hopkins, Hill on his belt?
