Seriously fellas.
Look at the evidence here. Groves is fighting October 30th but Warren is pushing for a December 11th fight which is just 40 days after so groves won't even have a proper recovery period or training camp to make that fight.
If Warren really wanted the Groves fight he'd reschedule for an early January / February show. By putting a public offer out for December he knows full well the 'public' will perceive any rejection as a duck but any decent boxer would reject such a short period between bouts.
I'm all for closing the waiting gap between fights and you all know I don't like the long periods between matches today's fighters have but 40 days? It's a joke really.
DeGale still wants no part of Groves that much is clear. He knows if he just waits he will get him ergo this is a blatent duck much like how Haye waited for the Klits to agree to other fights before moaning about them not fighting him.
Wise boxing fans know better don't we?
Peace.
If Warren really did offer Grove a Degale fight then he would be dumb to go ahead with his TBC date in october.
I would be shocked if Warren actually did want the fight though, looking at Warren's history especially the way he blatantly had Hatton ducking Witter I doubt he would want the fight for Degale right now.
It's business you need to understand that down the line this fight will be worth 10 times as much if they both stay on the right path. I'm sure both camps know this i mean what is it going to prove right now if they fight? It means nothing it's just 2 inexperienced prospects fighting there would not be enough hype.
Groves did the same thing when Hayemaker went to press about offering DeGale 50 grand to fight him when DeGale was already lined up to fight on one of Warrens bills.
If Groves wants the fight so badly, he could cancel his Oct fight and start training for DeGale. I dont see the fight happening any time soon though.
that fuking sneaky cunt warren, didnt know that mate, what a scumbag move, trying to give his man every advantage, fuk degale but im still going to warren show on dec 11
Well, yeah. Warren was never gonna put DeGale in with Groves at this point. How often do you see two top class prospects and potential money makers face off when they've had ~10 fights each? It was/is never gonna happen.
