Is it ridiculous that Pac can be a title holder NOT at the correct weight?

wasn't chavez/whitaker at a catchweight for the WW belt? is that pretty ridiculous too? That fight was more of the two best fighters around the same weight class and it was a very big fight cause both fighters had so much momentum going in the fight. Totally different scenerio from Pac/Margo

catchweights for championships have always been a part of boxing. live with it. but I totally disagree this fight being for a championship because pac and margarito have done jack **** at 154 to get this fight as a championship fight. Catchweights are to see who is the better fighter when the weight difference is too big. There is no reason why they should be a catch weight between Margo and Pac cause we know that Pac is #1 already and Margo is not where near one of the top fighters. Ive been a boxing fan for a long time and catchweight is nothing new to me, so I have already lived with it for a long time.

HE DIDN'T WIN THE WELTERWEIGHT belt honorably because HE didn't fight with the limits of the weight class and now He's doing the same sht. Sorry Pacland, that's not winning a title, that's Jose Sulaiman making his money on a big fight disregarding the same rules HE should be enforcing. 1st they pick an easy target, then they make the ilegal easy target legal for the fight, then they get Jose to GIVE them a title to fight for at whatever weight they want to come in. 147 title is fought at 147 and the 154 title is fought at 154. If Pacquiao the beatch wants to come at 150, He can, but don't set limits of 150 to earn a 154 title. And please, don't tell me is just a few lbs, because a few lbs is all what separates one class from another. Why didn't they fight at 147 if they don't want to make 154??? Just to get another PAPER title for the Pilipino Whole of Fame.

If he wants to fight Margo at JMW that is not the problem, it is in a catch weight of 151 for a WBC belt, one of the major bodies in a division that neither has done anything significant in that weight. Let you have a fighter fighting in that weight and they give the belt away in a circus act like this one to see how you would feel. If Pac wants to fight for the JMW crown just allow the other fighter to come at the limit. He won the Welterweight title at 144lbs, and now going for the light middleweight at 150lbs It seems to be a joke that he can be crowned the champ of a weight division, but lowers the weight limit for both fighters What do you think.... Yes, it is really ridiculous. I wouldn't say that Pac is destroying the sport but he sure is making a mockery out of it. He's devaluing the idea of being a champion. Being a champion is fighting someone who is one to be one. yeah because you shouldn't devalue wbc , wbo , ibf , wba , ibo , iba , ibc , wbf world championship belts. i mean there's only 150-200 world , interim world , super world and regular world champions around.

In reality, it is ridiculous. Technically however, a weight class is the max weight all the way down to the weight class before it. But yeah fight at the max weight in the class or at least a little below it if you can't make weight but don't make the other guy do it.

money talks. 1. marg is more money than any of the other options bradley , berto , pwill , etc. 2. probably less risk. they don't want to derail an eventual floyd fight. either way , don't worry about the catchweight , don't worry about the title. title is meaningless. just look at it as a smaller guy testing out a new division against a past it much bigger guy. if you think it'll be entertaining , watch it. if you don't , then don't watch it. simple. not every fight can be a superfight or something.
