I Love How People Are Downplaying Pac-Man Going For His Record 8th Division Title

Margarito hasnt beaten any top contenders at 154. Pacquiao has never faced anyone at 154. Pacquiao-Margarito isnt taking place at 154. The term paper champ has never been more accurate. This fight and belt is a farce. That belt belongs to Sergio Martinez. He was stripped of it because the WBC would make more money if different fighters held the 154 and 160 title. They wanted to give it to Chavez but he cant mkae 154. Martinez is the best at 154 and hes proved it in the ring. It's his title and this whole event is a disgrace.

Margarito should be thankful this fight is at more than 147. If not for a title, and if the fight gets made at 147, Marg would be dehydrated. Wrong. Period. Just wrong. Margarito's comeback fight was at JMW, right after that he said he planned on returning to WW, he said he would have no problem making weight. Then up popped the chance to fight for a belt at JMW, why wouldnt he take it. He has to make weight four pounds above what he already said he could do.

Winning the Welterweight title with limits of 145 was dishonorable and winning 154 at 150 will not be any better. If you want to be respected you play the game with the rules established. Just because you have bargain power doesn't mean you are going to be looked up as a real 8 div champion. He's still a good 6 title champion until HE beats a champion at his weight class. NO Catchweights are going to fly with most fans.

As a pacquaio fan, this 8th division win would be straight bull****. Im sorry its bad enough Margarito is nowhere a threat at 154. Add that this fight is at a catchweight and for a vacant built. I will not count this belt at all because he is not fighting a champion at all and no vacant belt should be giving to a fighter who has no big win at 154 and a fighter who has never fought at at 154.

That is a flat out lie. Period. His last two title fights were against Cotto at a catchweight of 145, before that it was Hatton at 140, 140 is the limit for that division. it's impressive, but it's who he's doing it against. he definitely cleaned out 147 though.
