First let me say that Shane is one of my favorite fighters, so this thread is not a cut on him. In fact, I think he is to be applauded for jumping back in the ring 4 1/2 months after being soundly beaten. If Shane beats Mora easily or knocks him out, obviously Shane should continue fighting. Even if Mora wins the first fight, and it isnt one-sided, I think Shane takes a book out of Vernon Forrest's book and fights him again. If Mora beats him easily, or beats him in a close fight and wins a rematch, should Shane hang up the gloves?
people keep talking as if mora is bad or something? this man did beat forrest once and lost to him. he can bang with the big boys. i wouldnt be surprised if mora beats him
I'd say no, because Mosley could look awful at 154 and it won't mean anything because he has never looked good at 154. If he fought Berto and looked awful, then I would say he should retire, because I don't want to see Shane Mosley reduced to being a gatekeeper.

i really like shane but if a guy of mora's caliber beats him, i think its about time to call it a day
no shame in losing to Floyd, a primed Cotto, Winky or Forrest.....but Mora?!?.....I can't see that, and IF it happens, then YES....Shane has to pack it in IMO
I think it depends how he looses, i think hes chosen the wrong guy for his comeback fight to look good against. Of course we know Shane is heads and sholders better than Mora, but he should fight someone who hes excellent against, as we all know; Brawlers. However, if Shane looses to Mora by descion i still think he can carry on and hang with guys who aren't boxers, at the top level.
If Shane gets beat badly then he should set up one "farewell" fight and call it a career. It would be nice to see that "farewell" fight vs ODH so Shane can get some dollars.
I was actually hoping DLH would come back for one more fight at 154 vs JCC Jr after the Paq fight. And if Shane does beat Mora, I think he has unfinished business with Berto, that could be an entertaining fight.
I think Shane should call it a career now, his place in boxing history is already solidified he's not flat broke and he's in good health to walk away with his wealth.
Why risk it ala Holyfield style?
simple really - Yes
No disrespect to mora, but he's not the sort of guy shane should be losing to. If he loses to Mora, he'd get brutalized by martinez/pwill/pac/cotto (in a rematch) or any other top guy really

Don't think it would appeal to boxing fans, but for the general public it would be a great fight - no doubt they would go toe to toe
