Honestly, this was some of the most disgraceful 'boxing' I've ever seen in my life.
Two horrendous hand-picked opponents that just fell over ever time the two 'stars' of the show unleashed one of their mal-coordinated, ugly, ineffective and downright embarrassing flurries.
Honestly, this was a joke. Some people go on about the higher weight divions not suffering in recent times and 'there is plenty of good talent out there' - but if this is the best that can be offered forget it. That Helenius dude was just awful, simply awful. Huck comes in with his chin pointing towards row Z every time and then smoothers his own wild attacks like a shark thrashing in a paddling pool.
Honestly, Adamek or Haye would knock Huck out in 1 round. Seriously, what a disgrace of a show.
I've lost hope for the crusierweight and heavyweight divisions after Adamek and the K-bros. Where was the sweet science tonight? The only time I saw those two move their head was when they got it moved for them by the respective brick-layer/bus driver they were facing.
James Toney eat your heart out....
Why all the hate on Marco Huck? He's one of the most active titlists in boxing and seems to have that "killer instinct" that many boxers lack today. He's not fought the best of competition but he seems to be progressing in that direction with every win he gets under his belt. Since he fought Cunningham in late 2007 he's fought, and won, 11 fights to Cunningham's 3 fight (won 2, lost 1). That to me shows his dedication to the sport and should be admired...
I dont think Huck would beat Cunningham in a rematch.
But it would probably go the distance now, and certainly be more competitibe. Huck was only like 22 when he fought Cunningham, and the truth is he needed another 5, even 10 fights under his experience before a fight like that. He wasnt ready for that fight and he has improved since then.
By the by, Cunningham seems to have deterioriated in recent years, and looked awful against Troy Ross and Tomasz Adamek.
Huck's wins over Afolabi (W 12), Ramirez (W 12), Godfrey (KO 5), and Tokarev (W 12) are all respectable. I think in another year or two I'd favour Huck over Cunningham.
Huck is a good fighter who is always improving because he's young!
I take that back, he has fought decent competition. This guy's far from rubbish...
Not sure what's with the "destroyed" "exposed" bit about Huck in his fight with Cunningham. From what I remember, the fight was fairly competitive until a green Huck gassed in the 12th. He's still extremely rough around the edges, but his activity and aggressiveness is starting to make me a fan.

Huck is somewhat dirty, he reminds me of David Haye with his rabbit punches.
But Matt Godfrey was a credible opponent, being ranked in the top ten at cruiserweight by The Ring.
I thought Robert Helenius looked very good. His opponent Gregory Tony had the same 12-0 record and is a former kickboxing star.
From the first punch Tony threw it was clear he was beyond hope.... Godfrey wasn't much better.
Huck is another German paper champ who was exposed by USS - the only skilfull boxer he has ever faced. Huck will look good with his sloppy but crowd pleasing slugger style against old have-beens or hopeless nobodies. Let him face anyone out of the top 5 and he will get schooled because he is simply lacking basic boxing technique. Green would murder him. Too bad USS is now fighting under Sauerland himself so that fight won't happen again soon.
Ehm.... Marco Huck is kinda, very strong. Godfrey just got hit flush, and ruined rest of his night. But then again, I think Godfrey is a very average fighter....
