I would still be a Floyd fan, Floyd would have fought and beaten Margarito, Cotto, Shane in his prime, Cory Spinks, Kermit Cintron, Paul Williams, he would have rematched and beaten Oscar, he would have fought and likely beaten his primary P4P rival Manny Pacquiao five months ago, and would be preparing to fight Sergio Martinez for the middleweight championship this fall. And people like myself would not be trashing him.
I doubt you were ever a Floyd fan. You must be a Pacquaio nuthugger because this thread wreaks of Pactard hate, and of course you leave out all the important details that would make your post look idiotic. First of all, you don't need heart when you have the skill of Mayweather. The only people in boxing who really need the heart of an Arturo Gatti are journeymen and C-class fighters like Gatti. Your list is a joke. You know that Mosley turned a Mayweather fight down twice when Mosley was in his prime. You know that Spinks had his ass handed to him and got KO'd by Judah, who Mayweather beat. You know that Cotto and/or his handlers refused to put Cotto in the ring with Mayweather at 140 when Mayweather wanted the fight and Arum wanted Floyd to sign a three-fight extension to get a fight with Margarito (who incidentally has no fan base). You know Kermit Cintron is nothing more than a journeyman and Paul Williams has zero fan base.
If Pac had Arturo Gatti's heart, he would have fought Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor or Nate Campbell at 135 instead of David Diaz. If Pac had Arturo's heart, he would have fought Mosley, Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander, Juan Manuel Marquez or Paul Williams instead of Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito. And, lastly, if Pac had any heart, he would have taken the ****ing drug tests and fought Mayweather in May of this year.:bsflag:
You were never a Floyd fan. Second, Floyd has not faced any Top Rank fighters since leaving Top Rank, and Top Rank fighters rarely fight fighters outside of Top Rank, so the above of what you posted is utterly ridiculous. Pactards lol...
It is so good to know that two people who dont know me apparently know me better than I know myself. I was a Floyd fan, idiots. In about the last five years he has taken the path of less resistance, and only Floyd nuthuggers like yourselves will continue to delude yourself with thoughts of Floyd being the greatest ever.
gatti never had the skills floyd has
floyd never had the balls like gatti had
gatti = always be remembered as a blood and guts warrior
floyd = got called a coward on national tv , the biggest embarassment for a prizefighter is to be called that...on nat tv!
I have no idea why you don't respect a guy, going into the ring. It's with their good health at risk, so I really have NO IDEA why a keyboard warrior like you, are trying to downsize a man who puts on a good show.
Floydmayweather has almost all of his career fought bigger men, but ofcourse, he'll be remembered for the Marquez fight.

If he fought all these fights, he'd have been top 10 ATG, maybe even top 5.
Thats` probably the only thing I don`t like about Mayweather. I wouldn`t call him a coward, but he definitely has the problem of facing tough competition...
And it`s a shame, cause he had a great resume when he fought at jr. lightweight, but after he moved up...
Oh, if he fought Casamayor, Tdzyu, Cotto, Margarito, Williams... God damn at least if he fought Berto... He would lose one or two against those guys, but what resume would that be...
His arguably best opponent within the last 5 years is the 38 year old guy, after almost a 1,5-year layoff... And his best fighter on the resume is the 37-year old blown-up super featherweight (or a getting-old ODLH)...
Right now he says he isn`t interested in fighting Pacquaio... Damn, which boxer isn`t interested in fighting, while his career is still on... What is he waiting for? Maybe for Pacquaio to go through some more wars and get shot?
Floyd is a great fighter... The problem is that he had the talent to become even more greater, and he chose not to...
and he was the bigger gy when floyd fought him and floyd still beat that ass into submission
bigger guy against the former MW champ? hahahaha. Before he will beat pac he needs to grow some balls first.
istead you're a #1 fan of a boxer who asks for catchweights and fights for a vacant belt
yap! He's an opposite of floyd. He was the one going up 2 weight classes to fight against much the bigger opponent while floyd was dragging his smaller opponent to go up 2 weight classes to fight him. :lol1:
Imagine if floyd is not coward? Wow he could be one of the greatest boxer eventhough he will lose to one of those fighters but people will praise him more for his courage for fighting all those opponents and i will be his #1 fan.

Floyd never quited in the ring he fought injured in lots of fights because of his brittle hands and he defeated the best lightweight in this era with a torn rotator cuff. he was thrown to wolfs coming up and wasn't a protected fighter
are you people questioning the mans heart because he didn't fight 2 of Arum's boxers?

WOW you a hater to the fullest man, seriously man you are
Yeah, there were certain guys Gatti was kept away from like Tszyu, Judah, Corrales, and Mosley most notably. That's why I can't understand how his management let him fight Floyd. He had to though I guess since Floyd was his mandatory.
I looked at it more as a cash out fight with Floyd. They got in the right position and got solid money.
But, yea he was managed really carefully especailly after the Ward trilogies.
