was thinking. I've tried both (briefly). With MMA it seemed like there is no escape of any kind so once your in there, your in there until KO or the long messy decision.
I've taken a gd body shot in boxing and took a knee for an 8 count, i tried the same in MMA and got whooped after going to a knee.
My take MMA = more heart, but then again at pro lvl in boxing especially the champ rounds I cant imagine the heart needed.
Your thoughts?
Wow. Overstatement of the century.
Hardly, that fool seriously has been out cold still swinging, comes back awake and wins the fight. How many boxers can say that. He's a wild ass brawler but when I saw him take do that he got my respect bigtime.
No heart in MMA?!? Chris Leben makes Gatti look like a quitter. Seriously, dude out cold, eyes closed still swinging.

Boxing. In mma, if you're a seasoned grappler you can rest in certain positions without much trouble and gather yourself. You can win with pure grappling.
In boxing, clinches get broken up quickly and you are getting punched in the head repeatedly throughout the fight.
Just looking an annual death tolls should tell you that boxers sustain a lot more serious damage in their sport through time. It takes some heart to constantly do it.
Here's the thing though, there has been MMA fighters (Gracies in particular) that have had elbows dislocated and limbs broken and they go on to fight, not tap. The average UFC guy won't do this but there are some damn gutsy guys out there literally risking life and limb.

I did both, you're getting hurt and you try to beat another man who have trained for years, so i say they both need heart...
BTW, in boxing, usually after round 6 in a tough fight, because of the pain, your heart is needed to continue...
both..you get punched in the damn face in both..
lol true
MMA is ridiculous
being willing to hump other half naked men on TV takes a lot of nerve
LOL..kk
