James Toney 290?!?!

It's ridiculous to even think that. Especially with Toney releasing media interviews almost on a weekly basis. He looks like he's always looked. He's not 40 lbs heavier than Sam Peter. :ugh:

He doesn't look 290 at all, he actually looked pretty slim by his standards in the recent pics I saw of him.

UFC heavyweights have to way in at 265 or less... No way in hell Toney is at 290... As dumb as he can be at times, he is smart enough to realize he needs to be agile enough to defend the takedown attempts...If he weighs anything over 230 he won't be worth a damn...IMO If only he were committed enough to stay in shape, his career would have turned out much different than it has...

The contracted weight is likely 225, the difference is Toney will be a pudgy 225 at 5'9" while Couture will be about 6'1" 225 ripped and ready for war. The age difference is not enough to give Toney an advantage there, I think Randy takes this one, and I say this as a boxing fan over MMA any day.

290 is too big. i dont beleive it at all. mike tyson was probably 290 + at his heaviest when he was fat. no way james looks like that.
