So what you are saying is that Dawson = Lacy. That in and of itself is fvcking stupid. To Calzaghe would have beat Dawson ok I can see that as a good possibility even though I'm not a Calzaghe fan. But to put Dawson on the level of Lacy is just moronic. Dawson would beat the sh!t out of Lacy as well and has enough skills to give Calzaghe a very good fight and possible win.

Dawson is overated in terms of skill. He has some of the tools to become something in boxing but he is not the complete article even yet. Dawson vs Calzaghe would be acomplete mismatch if it went ahead a couple of years back. If Dawson is that good he should have took care of Pascal without to many problems, so why didn't he? Calzaghe would have dominated Dawson, with Dawson barely even getting 2 rounds.

uh no he wouldn't because if he could have then he would have, that is why he doesn't get much respect or the respect that he probably should because he beat a OLD Hopkins and a OLD Jones but that does absolutely nothing for your Resume and Legacy Beating Dawson, Froch even Glenn Johnson (although older he is always a TOUGH Fight) would have helped him a lot more then beating Old Washed Up Fighters Dawson would have gave Joe MAJOR problems from a STYLISTIC standpoint, what one fighter was able to do for 1 fight does not mean every fighter can do the same, "STYLES MAKE FIGHTS" some styles match up well some don't but to be fair to Joe, that would have been a MAJOR RISK with No Reward type of match

I think both guys probably beat him prime for prime, but that is no slander on calzaghe, prime jones destroyed james toney who himself is a legitmately great fighter. Hopkins was still a great fighter the night he fought calzaghe, not far from his best people always use the age thing as an excuse...use your eyes and actually see the fighter that is in the ring, more fans should rely on their own judgement rather than go along with general opinion. No he wouldn't have. Last night's Dawson is not the same Dawson we usually see. Calzaghe would have had his hands full, but probably found a way to win. I agree, dawson is a very good fighter on the outside so that makes it tough for calzaghe, but he would have found a way, dawson gets unsettled by educated pressure
