well the weekends shaping up to be a good one..but I understand your concern, boxing to me will always have up and down swings...just watch when the May vs Pac fight is made, its popularity is again going to sky rocket..but until then there are many many fights that can still be enjoyed..
Hmm, tonight Cris Arreola is fighting on Friday Night Fights. Tomorrow is Dawson-Pascal, and also tomorrow night's Top Rank Live main event between Kim and Vazquez will be an all out war.
I think boxing is doing just fine (and that's for just this weekend)...
This is actually a great weekend for the sport. Three TV cards today and three quality cards tomorrow with world class fights.
Yes is going down hill. When FLoyd retires he loses his no1 spot. And he wont fight the no1 to try and get his spot back.
He thinks he can do it looking good against other boxers, while not actually having to box the no1 who has taken his place.
He hopes he can regain his no1 position on a tecnicality.
lol this is all boxing fans have left to defend their sport, In NFL the teams play 16 games during a 17-week period, In MLB each team plays 162 games a season, in NBA each team plays 82 games a season.
Now in Boxing the top fighters box twice a year, three times if we are lucky. How is that even comparable? How can you bring in facts about "under 50% win".
F.uck off
:lame: stfu noob

meh, its not that bad. people are mostly just upset Pacquiao-Mayweather isnt happening, and I dont really blame you.
but there have been a lot of quality fights this year too.
The best have never fought the best this isn't something new. Paging Harry Wills, Paging Sam Langford, Paging Nino Valdes, Paging Tommy Hurricane Jackson...etc,etc.
The best aren't fighting the best.
The best aren't fighting often enough.
Too many postponements/cancellations.
I've started to become very tired of it. I love the sport, when they are in the ring and ready to fight.
It's just starting to turn me into a "casual" fan again.
This has become a part-time sport.
I've watched PLENTY of good fights this year. It'd already have been a superb year, if it ended right now. Only more and more good fights will add up. 3x Super six, where all is open!!!
Dawson is gonna' fight Pascal this weekend. Should be a pretty good fight.
There hasn't been too many weekends this year w/o a pretty good fight to watch on tv. WTF else you want? At least we don't have to deal with an off season. Also what about when the Super Bowl champs play a team that's under 50% win? Same in Baseball and Basketball and nearly every other sport as well? Do you complain about that?
Boxing is fine. Pull up your panties and enjoy the fights this weekend.

there should be as many federations as there are boxers. Then everyone would be world champion...
Seriously, what's the point having that many federation. That dilute talent way too much.
It's been a $hitty year but this is a bad ass weekend.
Arreola on FNF's then Pascal vs Dawson on HBO, I can see how people can get frustrated over fights that don't happen or get canceled. That's always happened but this year has sucked major dick, peaks and valleys.
It has been a bad year, i agree with what you say and i also don’t like the fact there isn’t one champ in each division and the promoters. What boxing really needs is more central organisation and to be package much better as a whole. Even though i hate him boxing needs someone like Bernie Ecclestone to come in, before Ecclestone F1 was backward with little TV coverage and little money.
Someone needs to take full control take over all promotion sell the TV rights as packages for a certain amount of time as part of TV package there would be a solid card every Saturday, i would also reduce the number of PPV increase promotion of fights and take over all sanctioning of fights. Every champion would have to make at least 1 mando defence every year against the best challenger.
This is a bad year in boxing. That's all, it's a horrible year.
As soon as Mayweather kicks Pacquiao's butt in 2011, maybe things will calm down, top fighters will stop trying to wait for both Mayweather AND Pacquiao(Like Mosley did and like Williams is doing).
It's not even Mayweather and Pacquiao Arum/GBP's fault alone. Other fighters in other weight classes from other promoters are slacking too.

This statement makes it seem as if you really dont watch boxing or have the true "love" you say you do. Because the state that boxing is in right now is an age old story. Unless youve been watching boxing since pre 1950s
dont watch it. why are you crying to a bunch of men
OK then, I've had enough.
I'm done.
After 4 years on this site, See ya fellers I won't be back unless something drastic happens with this sport.
3......2.......1.......And OUT!
