I don't know about being them but I think Paul Williams work rate would give them BOTH problems
if Khan wasn't such a BITCH and had a weak chin, Khan has the hand speed and the consistent Jab to give them a tough fight but again that is IF the Chin wasn't so weak
Devon Alexander in another year or so I think would give them both problems, I might be a little bias obviously but Alexander being a southpaw plus the Speed, Footwork and Skills, I think he could be a threat to both if for some reason Mayweather and Pacman are still fighting in about 2 years
Paul Williams is not even close of becoming ELITE boxer. not in his lifetime.
if Manny and Williams would even the playing field Williams would get battered. same as Martinez. none of those guys are ELITE. no way in hell Williams and Martinez beat Mayweather in welterweight. i just dont see it happening.

Pacquiao Currently:

Pacquiao Past:

Since these faggets are so keen not to lose to eachother
Past fighters & Current fighters.
nobody outside of their weight class can currently beat them.
like saying Martinez could beat Pacquiao would be stupid because he's so much bigger.
I see Hearns knocking Floyd spark out, and I'd pick Leonard over PAC due to his counter punching capabilities and ability to put combinations together.
Pacquiao can be beaten by Mayweather and Mayweatehr can be beaten by Pacquiao.
And in the NOW, no one can beat both.
But I can see Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler and even Roberto Duran can beat them or at least challenge them both (Pacquiao and Mayweather).
Hagler puts them both in the hospital.
Pacquiao Currently:
Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Dzinziruk, Angulo.

TS should've set parameters for this, it's really open-ended. What weights are we talking for these guys? I mean Pacquiao has fought from 106-154(150) in his professional career and has classic, well-known battles at featherweight and welter. Floyd has fought from 130-154 and his best was unquestionably at lightweight.
RIGHT NOW, both guys need to fight to settle the issue. I think Pac's southpaw stance, insane speed and power, his unorthodox and unpredictable attack, and constant activity break down Floyd's shell, especially since he isn't as mobile as he once was. I think Paul Williams beats both guys IF he gets with a trainer that teaches him how to use his physical advantages. The dude is 6'2"ish with a reach longer than Wlad the Impaler AND he's a southpaw  He should be invincible at 147-160 but he lost to Quintana? :werd: Martinez exposed how vulnerable he is to a quick southpaw and rocked his chin. As he is now, Pacquiao would bust him up... but Floyd's passive style would get Paul the decision, even if May blocked/dodged most of his shots, 100+ punches a round adds up.
All time, let's say 126-147 for Pac- Duran, Sugar Rays, Hearns, maybe Pep and Benitez would give him a battle.
All time for Floyd, 130-147- Sugar Rays, Hearns, and Sweet Pea's speed/defense/smarts/southpaw stance would give Floyd fits. Would love to see Duran vs Mayweather at lightweight.
If both guys fought fantasy bouts at 154+, Hagler murders them both.
I guess we shall agree to disagree then!!Because while I see Pacman & Floyd as elite,I do not think they are the only elite fighters fighting around their respective weight classes!!Because to me the Punisher & Martinez are the #1 & #2 fighters at 154,I just don't think it would make sense to say they are not elite if they are the 2 top fighters in a weight class!!Especially when Pacman whom U consider elite is fighting for a title in that weight class against Margarito at 150,if Martinez & the Punisher aren't on his level,he shouldn't have any problem dispatching them instead of fighting a cheating welterweight in their division!!
But being 1 or 2 doesn't make you elite. By that benchmark Carlos Baldomir was an elite ww when floyd fought him. I don't think you'd say he was would you? Floyd, Manny, Calderon, Wlad, are some examples of elite boxers right now. Paul, Sergio, JMM, Mosley, Bradley are all very good but not in the above category.
AGain I think you are missing my point. Floyd and Pac are elite fighters, I'm not factoring in division or weight. I wouldn't use elite to describe paul or sergio.
As for "elite" within a division, meaning who are the top at a given weight then yesa paul and sergio are 1 and 2 at 154.
Thomas Hearns Beats Them Both, Tommy KD's Manny Early and stops him in the middle rounds, Tommy Drops Floyd at some point but wont stop him, Floyds defence is to great, Tommy beats him by SD, i see Floyd giving Tommy fits with his accuracy and pinpoint counter punches and excellent timing, but Tommy's power and pressure will take the rounds.
No matter how old Mosley was he was the consensus #1 ww and the lineal champ. The thing is if they fight 5 yrs earlier Mosley is better but so is floyd. Respectfully, Martinez won a belt floyd vacated 2 years ago.
I agree with you 100% they deserve higher rankings at 154 than both. But they are not elite fighters. I think this is the only thing we disagree about. I would call them very good fighters. I would call manny and floyd elite.

Cant see picture but I did more than just post that without stating why I feel that way.
Mosley was top ranked but c'mon homey,we both know that he wasn't prime,"not taking anything from Floyd's win,it was his most impressive to date"!!But at 154 the Punisher & Martinez are the 2 top dogs,so Manny & Floyd entering that division don't just trump them because of name,do they??:boxing:

Top 1000 ATGs would beat Pacquiao.
Who would beat Mayweather? Probably only a prime SRR.
Signed, No Ceil....ahem...proud flomo
aren't you the same guy who said tommy hearns has the same punching power as paul williams
SSM was the lineal champ and consensus #1 ranked ww when he fought floyd. margarito is tough but he is not great. As far as beasting, uhh he had lost to Daniel Santos in Sept 2004 and KO'd Kermit Cintron twice. Not exactly top flight comp there? Can we agree at least on that? They are the BEST at 154 we agree, They are not elite fighters IMO yet. Fair pint that floyd and manny would both choose money fightsover the challenge both bring.
My only point is Martinez and Paul deserve to face floyd and Manny but IMO they are not elite fighters yet. martinez gave away the fight to Paul by taking rounds off. Kermit Cintron was even with paul before they stopped.

The Punisher & Martinez have heavy credentials at 154,their both prime & their both big!!Floyd's only outing at 154 was against a fading DLH!!The only deference between the Punisher & Martinez compared to Floyd & Manny are superstar status!!
The Punisher was a 2 time welterweight champion I believe,1 for sure,he took Margarito's title when Margarito was beasting fools!!When Margarito was prime, which prime elite welterweight has Floyd or Manny EVER sonned??NONE,nada, zip,ZERO,how the hell aren't they in the same class??
At 154 Manny nor Floyd are proven on the elite level, the Punisher & Martinez are,so at 154 they are on the same level as Floyd & Manny & if either thought that they could beat Martinez & the Punisher,Manny wouldn't be fighting a faded Margarito for a 154 pound title at 150 & Floyd wouldn't be taking a fvcking vacation, period!!

Bump,where U at Dunn,this debate must keep going,it's entertaining as hell!!:boxing:
In theory you are correct. But what have paul and sergio done to be considered "elite"? At 154 they are both too big for manny. But they are not too big for floyd. I cant see sergio at 147. Paul would lose to both at 147 right now. My point is Paul and Sergio deserve credit, but they are not, right now, in the same class.

Dunn, never called them great but the Punisher & Martinez are both way bigger than them!!Besides on a serious note, which prime welterweights have Manny or Floyd beat to even begin to assume they could beat the Punisher or Martinez??Especially at 154!!Just because Floyd & Manny are superstar fighters doesn't mean they are the only elite ones now does it??
