I dont understand.
He wanted a paper belt at 154 so why didn't he go after the best guy? Why did he go after the most least deserving guy.
Martinez vs. Pacquiao: Why wasnt this made?
If Martinez was one of Arum's fighters, he would sell out Pac and feed him to Martinez if he knew the time was right (or the other way around). That's exactly what he's doing by feeding Margarito to Pac and what he tried to do with Cotto and Foreman. The promotion and media coverage was obviously biased to lean towards Foreman and to treat Cotto like a gatekeeper.
The problem with that is Arum didn't even know who Martinez was when he made the fight with Kelly. He admitted he didn't really know who Martinez was at the time, lol.
There is no way Pac beats Martinez. If Pac absolutely want's a belt at 154 at least fight Cotto at the full weight and not Margarito at 150. Both matchups suck but one of them sucks infinitely more.
I dont understand.

thats a fight pac would lose...they cant afford for pac to lose atm because of the mayweather fight..pac at 154 fighting a top guy??? not gonna happen not at 154..
Floyd should be fighting Sergio. Why does Pac have to test the water for Floyd? Floyd needs to do something special and he hasnt done anything specail since his comeback.
Hes got to do something people think Pac might not be able to do first..
1) Main reason is that Martinez moved on to 160 and did not retain his 154 belt. There would be no point in fighting him if Manny doesn't get rewarded with a belt especially when he can fight another guy (Margo) for a belt.
2) Margo is an Arum guy and by fighting Margo, he can hit 2 birds with one stone. If everything turns out right, Margo looks good enough to come back from the dead and Manny gets himself a title.
3) You must remember that Manny is going for the title. His opponent doesn't necessarily need to be the best at 154. He can leave that option for another day.
Why did Floyd fought Marquez when he said he's coming back to regain the top P4P spot. :bottle:
Because he was coming off an almost two year layoff. So rather than pick on a tomato can in his comeback, he chose to fight the guy who many consider to have beaten Pacquiao, and who also called him out.
Because Martinez would tax that.
Yup, yup.....lol. Serg fights at a distance and is very good at it- very good at counter punching from a distance. Pac would not only be at a height but reach advantage. I'm sure Pac gets to him at times but Martinez would time Pac coming in and land a very hard left and drop him. Pac can take a punch but not too many from a guy like Martinez. I know people think Martinez does not have power but he does and he cuts people easily and seeing how Pac cuts fairly easily anyways, Martinez would end up butchering Pac's face.
I doubt Sergio would let Pac get all that close too often to allow Pac to land his combinations. I'd say either Sergio wins a decision or gets a late stoppage due to cuts.
I dont understand.

because martinez will be like mosley... ?
Pac has a shot in this fantasy fight. Sergio's size is a huge advantage for him but there are several times throughout a fight where Sergio is caught off balance I think with proper training and Pac's speed and explosiveness they could exploit it.
Hell even Pavlik caught him off balance.
To be honest, i have to admit that Pacquiao's team is handpicking beatable opponents. Sergio ain't one of them. I don't think Pac or Floyd would fight Martinez. I agree with them. They're too small.
